Thelen, David Holden Gasser, Ronald Edward Dennison, Dianne Kay Hildabridle, Fernand Maniez, Joyce E. Rennells<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Evelyn L. Thelen<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/thelen_evelyn2.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Evelyn L. Thelen passed away, January 30, 2012, at the age of 78. She was born on July 30, 1933 in Fowler, Michigan. The daughter of William and Leona (Wieber) Snyder. Evelyn married Stanley R. Thelen on January 21, 1953 and survives her. Evelyn was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and served as a past regent of the Daughters of Isabella.<br \/>\nEvelyn is also survived by her son, Eric Thelen, sisters, Karen (Jerry) Spitzley, Bernadine (Keith) Miller, Cindy (Gerome) Thelen, one brother, Stanley Snyder as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Randy, and two brothers, Neil and Clare Snyder.<br \/>\nThe Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. The family will receive friends, Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Rosaries being prayed at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Goerge Chapel of The Osgood Funeral Homes in Fowler. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maryknoll Sisters. The family was served by The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneral.com\/ \"target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>David Holden Gasser<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nDavid Holden Gasser age 76, passed away January 5, 2012, in Galveston, TX.<br \/>\nHe was preceded in death by his wife Betsy. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law : Karen and Bill Ragland of Jamestown, OH, Virginia and Robert Wonderly, Julie and Tom Dow all of Beavercreek, OH. Two sisters Caroline Garrick of NM, Janice Newhouse of MI. One brother-in-law, Robert Vollbracht of FL. Grandchildren: Jason, Lindsey, Noel, Scott, Keith and Elliott.<br \/>\nA proud graduate of Michigan State University, David was the long time manager of the K-mart store on Woodman Drive. Regardless of where his retirement took him, David enjoyed long walks almost daily. His love of classical music was well known and his CD collection was vast. For nearly the last 20 years, he sorely missed his wife, Betsy, who died far too young of ALS. He is with her now and they are enjoying each other&#8217;s company, catching up with one another on their children and grandchildren and reminiscing about all the good times as well their travels around the world.<br \/>\nA Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday February 4, 2012 at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tobiasfuneralhome.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.tobiasfuneralhome.com<\/a> Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road. Reverend Jack Richards officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. til the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the ALS Association &#8211; 1275 K Street NW, Suite 1050 &#8211; Washington, DC 20005 in David&#8217;s name.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Ronald Edward Dennison<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/dennison_ronald.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Ronald Edward (Ron) Dennison, age 86, of Ovid, MI died Sunday, January 29th, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side.<br \/>\nFuneral Services will be held at Grace Bible Church on Wednesday, February 1st at 1:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ovid, MI with Pastor Roger Rose officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI and on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Grace Bible Church.<br \/>\nRon was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 1, 1925, the son of Edward Earl and Pearl May (Brown) Dennison. He married Vera Beth Hathaway in Ovid, MI on December 6, 1947 and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2011 after 63 years of marriage. He served in the US Army during W.W.II.<br \/>\nRon retired from Federal Mogul Manufacturing, Amperage Electric, VB&#8217;s Transport and most recently Flint Auto Auction in August 2011. He was a active member of Grace Bible Church, serving as an Elder, Deacon and ran the radio for the broadcast service.<br \/>\nRon is survived by son, Bob and Pat Dennison of Owosso, MI; daughter Sue Dennison, son Ken and Cindy Dennison, daughter Debbie Dennison-Guerrera-Schaar, all of Ovid, MI; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Ron was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Lynette Dennison-Riley, great granddaughter, Tegan Marie Guerrera, aunt, Ola Johnson and uncle, John Dennison.<br \/>\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charity of the Family&#8217;s Choice.<br \/>\nThe family would like to thank Pastor Rose for his faithfulness to their family and to Owosso Memorial Healthcare and their Home Care and Hospice Services for their special care of their dad. Dianne was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 19, 1942 (69 years of age). She was the oldest child of Rex and Dorothy Miller of Lansing, MI. Dianne was married to her loving husband Donald Leroy Hildabridle and the two lived and raised their family in St.<br \/>\nJohns. Donald preceded her in death in January 1996, after 32 wonderful years of marriage.<br \/>\nDianne is survived by one child, son, Nick HF Hildabridle of Indianapolis, IN; her father, Rex D. Miller of Springfield, GA; one sister, Kathryn (Miller) Mathews of Gastonia, NC; three nephews, Tim Thayer of Guyton, GA, James<br \/>\nThayer of Springfield, GA, Michael Thayer of Savannah, GA; two nieces, Melissa Plymale of Midland, GA; Trisha<br \/>\nDeal of Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother; and son Shawn Lee Hildabridle.<br \/>\nDianne retired from Target in 2000 after many years of dedicated service as a Customer Service Representative. She was an original founding member of the Dolphinettes Synchronized Swimming at J.W. Sexton High School in 1959. She had recently returned to the Harrison, MI area to enjoy retirement by the lake with friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother and sister, dearly supporting and advocating for her son. Not a moment passed that Dianne was not thinking and doing for others, right to the end of her time with us.<br \/>\nFriends and family may call at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 431 E. Saginaw St., East Lansing, MI<br \/>\n48823 on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be immediately following the funeral service in East Lawn Memorial Gardens 2400 Bennett Road, Okemos, MI 48864.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Fernand Maniez<\/strong><br \/>\nFernand Maniez, age 87, of St. Johns, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home with family by his side.<br \/>\nFernand was born May 26, 1924 in Clebourne, IL., to Pierre and Catherine (Blond) Maniez. He married Winifred Glass on July 20, 1943 in Wayne, MI. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII in Europe and was a member of the Fowler VFW. He worked for Wayne County Road Commission before relocating to St. Johns and worked for Clinton County Road Commission and the City of St. Johns as a mechanic. Fernand was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed golfing, traveling the Southwest, going to casinos and playing the lottery. He especially loved cruising the farm on his golf cart and time spent with his family.<br \/>\nHe is survived by his wife and best friend Winifred of St. Johns, children, David (Judy) Maniez, Joanna (Richard) O\u2019Herron, Terry (Connie) Maniez, Jacqueline (Mark) Zamarron, Peter (Maggie) Maniez, 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Fernand was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Quin Maniez and siblings Peter, George, Raymond, August, Carmen Bedar and Evelyn Beldo.<br \/>\nA celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2 pm at the Maple Rapids Community Center with Pastor Jeffery Heimsoth officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 pm until time of service. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256. Rennells<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/rennels_joyce.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Joyce E. Rennells, 81 years, beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with our Lord on January 25, 2012. Born April 8, 1930 to Edward and Lucille (Ladd) Parker. Joyce was a devoted Baptist all her life. She retired as director of the Thompson Home Public Library of Ithaca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and infant grandson, Donald Griner.<br \/>\nJoyce is survived by her sister, Phyllis (Frank) Winters of DeWitt, three sons, Robert (Debra) of rural Bath, David (Nannette) of rural Ashley, Douglas (Cindy) of rural Ithaca, one daughter, Jeanne (Scott) Allen of rural Shepherd, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.<br \/>\nFuneral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns with Pastor Tim Knaus officiating burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. Medina passed away, January 23, 2012 at the age of 88. Born August 9, 1923, in Pearsal, Texas. The daughter of Gregorio and Luisa (Reyes) Barajas. Romana married Natividad Medina Sr. on November 15, 1945, in St. Johns. Natividad preceded her in death on November 8, 1993.<br \/>\nRomana is survived by her son, Cesar (Judy) Medina of St. Johns, two daughters, Alicia (Steven) Hunt of Portland, MI, Berta Medina of St. Johns, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters, Elida Saldivar, Adelfia Rudeas, Elvira Gonzales, one brother, Jose Barajas as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Natividad, Jr., two brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great grandson.<br \/>\nFuneral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns, with Fr. Eoin Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery.
