{"id":27448,"date":"2012-02-23T21:58:42","date_gmt":"2012-02-24T01:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/?p=27448"},"modified":"2012-02-23T21:58:42","modified_gmt":"2012-02-24T01:58:42","slug":"walk-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/walk-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Walk for Warmth is Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>February 25<!--more--><br \/>\nOn Saturday February 25 Capital Area Community Services, Inc. will be hosting the 22nd Annual Walk for Warmth fundraiser for Clinton County.<br \/>\nRegistration will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the walk beginning at 11 a.m. at the Clinton County Senior Drop-In Center, 201 E. Walker St. Johns.<br \/>\nParticipants will collect pledges and walk a three-mile fixed route through the City of St. Johns to raise awareness of the plight of Clinton County households who have no heat.<br \/>\nA CACS-Head Start bus will be following along the route to provide a break for those walkers who may need one. There will once again be a warming station with refreshments at the Church of the Nazarene, 515 N. Lansing Street.<br \/>\nAll funds raised through Walk for Warmth will go directly to Clinton County households for heat-related utility assistance.<br \/>\nPlease join in collecting pledges and Walk for Warmth this year.<br \/>\nIf you would like more information, call Capital Area Community Services of Clinton County at (989) 224-6702. Pledge Sheets can be picked up at the office, located at 1001 S. Oakland St. in St. Johns.
