That makes them a totally political creation which is something we’re led to believe isn’t so. They are not elected by the people and there’s no term limits. They’re mostly there until they decide to retire or the Grim Reaper intervenes. The only exception is they can be impeached just like what happened to President Clinton a few years ago but of course he wasn’t removed from office. That’s another process. This also happened to Justice Samuel Chase in 1804 but he ended up serving until his death.
He’s the only justice to be impeached.
The current Supreme Court can be broken down into four liberals, four conservatives, and one moderate. The fate of Oblamacare depends solely on the moderate justice because the other two groups cancel one another out.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the Supreme Court was outside politics? Wake up ol’ bauer, you’re dreaming again. After all they’re supposed to be the guardians of our Constitution. The fact of life is they’re more influenced by politics.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, on a recent visit to Egypt, reportedly told a group trying to write a new constitution not to use our Constitution as a model. She believes it’s outdated. Are you sure we want her on the bench?
If some of Supreme Court Justices were given the chance they’d rule the Constitution unconstitutional.
Kind of sad isn’t it?
Anyway, I have nightmares about the Supreme Court ruling in favor of Oblamacare. What’s next, dental insurance, mental health care insurance, and nursing home care insurance? Our world is not one where everybody gets up in the morning, works ten or twelve hours a day, and benefits the same. The real world is that some people expect to be taken care of without lifting a finger.
We are going broke in this country as it is without adding more weight to a sinking ship with a massive hole in the hull.

* * *

Why is Oblama so popular with some people? I think I know. He reminds me of Martin Luther King when he gives a speech. I fully expect Oblama to break into his version of “I have a Dream,” speech where he tells everybody that little rich kids and little poor kids will someday be equal. Then he follows that up by telling us he believes in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy.
Oblama’s dream has got to be the biggest nightmare this country has ever faced.

* * *

I take a lot of pictures and readers of the Indy seem to enjoy them. I don’t consider myself a good photographer but I do try to level the playing field by taking lots of pictures in hopes of getting one or two good ones.
I took over 13,000 pictures on my last camera before the on/off switch went to hell and I probably have a least half that many on my new one.
I’ll never be an Ansel Adams because he was something special but even his photos were manipulated in the darkroom. Nowadays we have our trusty Photoshop program to improve the photos we take.
Until the next time . . .

[9

post-28255","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
