Cramer, James J. McCarthy, Raymond Keith McCullough, Doris L. Mohnke<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Eugene Gordon Brown<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/brown_eugene.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Eugene Gordon Brown age 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 27, 2012, Pentecost Sunday. He was born February 5, 1930 in Lansing.  Gene was a veteran of the US Navy serving 1948-1952. He was a retired Plasterer for Local #16. He did work on the State Capitol and the Wharton Center at MSU. Gene was a grateful member of AA for 37 years in the Lansing area.<br \/>\nHe is survived by the love of his life, Esther A., 14 children: Eugene Jr. (Kim) Brown, Linda (Russ) Mack, Robert (Carolyn) Brown, Dale (Paula Rimer) Brown, Dan (Ricki) Brown, Sue (Gary) Eiseler, Cindy (Mike) Sharp, Leanne (Bob) Toman, Art (special friend Laurie) Brown, Mary Ellen (Joe) Brown, Marcia Brown, Gloria Brown, Colleen (Tim) Bellingar, Carol (Troy) Wood, a sister, Sandra Drew, 40 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert V. and Ida (Gordon) Brown, a brother, Robert Brown, sisters: Helen Oliver and Annie Rose, a son, George Brown, a daughter in law, Debbie Brown and a son in law, Jim Brown, 2 grand daughters, Shanae Brown and Geneva Brown.<br \/>\nThe family wishes to express gratitude to two very special groups, friends at Covington Woods and Mt. Hope AA Group. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and aids at McLaren Greater Lansing, Eaton Community Palliative Care for their love and wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care, Charlotte, MI.<br \/>\nThe Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday May 31, at 10:30 AM at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday 6-8 pm and Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8pm at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palmerbush.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Palmer Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes<\/a>, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw where the Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Visitation continues Thursday at the church beginning at 9:30 AM.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Jack G. Cramer<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/cramer_jack.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Jack G. Cramer, 83 of St. Johns died Monday May 28, 2012.  He was born on December 22, 1928 in St. Johns, MI the son of Cecil E. and Ivah Mae (Wagner) Cramer.  Jack graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in 1949 and worked in the shipping department of F. C. Mason Co. for over 25 years.  Jack loved sporting events, going to the Casino and enjoyed the downtown of St. Johns.<br \/>\nHe is survived by his brother, Bruce (Karen) Cramer of St. Johns, sister-in-law Josephine (Garrett) Gruner of St. Johns and several nieces and nephews.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a> on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tim Dickenson officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Thursday May 31, 2012, 5-8 P.M.  Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>James J. McCarthy<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/mccarthy_james.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>James J. McCarthy went to be with our Lord on Friday May 25, 2012 at the age of 16. He was born December 3, 1995 to adoring parents, Douglas and Sharon (Strong) McCarthy. James was a sophomore at St. Johns High School and a member of the St. Johns High School Swim Team. He attended Rivers Edge Community Church. James had many interests. He was artistic. He loved photography and took beautiful pictures. He played guitar. James was a \u201ctechy\u201d. He could do anything on the computer and like most boys his age was addicted to video games. His favorite place on earth was Clifford Lake where he spent every weekend in the summer. He loved to swim, fish, boat, kayak and tube. Most of all, James loved his family. We will miss him more than words could ever express.<br \/>\nSurviving are his parents, Doug and Shari (Strong) McCarthy; brother, Matthew; grandparents, James (Jim) and Judi McCarthy of Stanton; aunts and uncles, Mark and Karon Strong of Lake Odessa, Michael and Deanna (Strong) Powers of Lansing, Daniel and Richele Strong of Pinckney, Chris and Sue (McCarthy) Mussat of Troy, MI and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry \u201cSkip\u201d and Marianne Strong; great grandparents, Mildred McCarthy and Doris Feldpausch.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at First Baptist Church 512 S. US 27 (Business 127), St. Johns with Pastor Robert Wielenga officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 6-8 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a>, St. Johns. Sickels St. Johns, MI 48879.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Raymond Keith McCullough<\/strong><br \/>\nRaymond Keith McCullough, 84, of St. Johns, retired plumber, died Monday May 21, 2012.<br \/>\nThere will be no services. Arrangements by Riley Funeral Home, Lansing.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Doris L. Mohnke<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/mohnk_doris.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Doris L. Mohnke, 93 of rural St. Johns went to be with her Lord on May 23, 2012 at Hazel Findlay Country Manor.  Doris was born on July 29, 1918 in Clinton County, MI the daughter of Robert and Martha (Martens) Rossow.  She married Alfred L. Mohnke on September 21, 1938 in Riley Twp.  He preceded her in death on October 14, 2004.  Doris was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and she enjoyed quilting, needlepoint and gardening.<br \/>\nShe is survived by her daughter, Diane (Frank) Hart of St. Johns and son Doug (Mary Sue) Mohnke of Evanston, IL.  5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 11:30 A.M. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 8990 Church Rd., St. Johns, MI with Pastor Jeffrey Heimsoth officiating.
