Soon after he started he was paid a visit by a local official wanting to know what he was building and where\u2019s his building permit, it\u2019s supposed to be posted?<br \/>\n\u201cI\u2019m not building anything, he says, I\u2019m just digging a hole.\u201d<br \/>\nShortly after that he\u2019s paid a visit from a county official wanting to know why he\u2019s putting in a pond and where was his permit?<br \/>\n\u201cI\u2019m not putting a pond in; I\u2019m just digging a hole.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cSir, the county official said, you\u2019ll have to have a fence around it.\u201d<br \/>\nThe landowner replied, \u201clook around you, it\u2019s already fenced in.\u201d<br \/>\nThen an official from the federal government shows up and says, \u201cMister, you can\u2019t put a mine here, you don\u2019t own the mining rights!\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI\u2019m not putting a mine here; I\u2019m just digging a hole.\u201d<br \/>\nThe final visitor was a local policeman who told him, \u201cYou\u2019ll have to fill that back in, the neighbors are complaining.\u201d<br \/>\nAll of this over a hole in the ground.<br \/>\nThis is our dilemma, folks, and it\u2019s more complicated then just digging a hole.  It means our government is closing in on us.<br \/>\nWe are losing our freedoms and we are losing our right to live as dignified human beings.  You only have to check in at a commercial airport for a flight to see what I mean.  We\u2019re subjected to government mandated groping.  Just a few years ago these gropers would be sent to prison for sexual misconduct.  The government bureaucrats got this idea for screening from watching dog shows.  That\u2019s where dogs are examined stem to stern by a judge who will also check their \u201cpackage.\u201d<br \/>\nAll of this touching and scanning has come up with some real important things to the government.  Some women have large breast, some guys are well endowed, the elderly may have a bladder bag, and some babies have soiled diapers.<br \/>\nWow, I feel safer already.<br \/>\nMeanwhile the would be terrorists know they\u2019re safe because we\u2019re not allowed to \u201cprofile\u201d and that folks is what the most threatened country in the world, Israel, uses as their number one tool to thwart attacks.<br \/>\nAll of this means we\u2019re dumb for allowing it, and we\u2019re easily herded like so many cattle.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">* * *<\/p>\n<p>Short Thoughts:<br \/>\nIn this country\u2019s 236 years of existence we\u2019ve been involve in 12 major wars that lasted almost 53 years.<br \/>\nI am convinced that if Tom Edison were still alive today he\u2019d find a cure for baldness.  Tom\u2019s my hero.<br \/>\nIf Oblamacare survives the Supreme Court then I\u2019ll no doubt lose my company paid for health insurance.  That means I\u2019ll have to pay for mine plus part of somebody else\u2019s.
