First I wanted to know if only one candidate is running for an office do I have to vote for them. Then I wanted to know if the tax limitation proposal was a renewal or an increase. Had it been an increase I would not have voted for it. So I contacted the city clerk and she told me I didn’t have to vote for the lone candidate running then she told me she wasn’t allowed to explain that proposal and I should contact the county. She gave me a phone number to call.
I like the city clerk!
I called the county and told the first lady I talked to what I was calling about and she asked me if I lived in a township and I said no, I live in the city and I already talked to the city clerk and she’s not allowed to explain the proposal to me. She transferred me to the county clerk and I explained my question to her about the tax limitation proposal. I asked her if it was a renewal or a tax increase. She told me it was a renewal but they weren’t allowed by law to put the word “renewal” on the ballot.
I thanked her and told her I will vote for it, otherwise if I don’t understand a tax proposal, I would vote against it.

* * *

I think Mitt Romney likes running for president but I don’t think he’s got the heart to “be” president. Romney is not going to an ice cream social, he needs to realize that running for president is war and he needs to get just as ruthless as Oblama is. He’s up against a man who practices “Chicago Politics.” In case you don’t remember, four Illinois governors in the last four decades have served or are serving time in prison for corruption along with other illegal things.
Now that’s Chicago politics. They are also fond of getting dead people to rise from the grave and vote one more time. When they say, “anything to win,” they aren’t kidding.
Oblama’s attacking Romney for his time at Bain Capital Ventures and Obama’s socialist upbringing tells him that making money is a crime. Sure, some companies failed after Bain got involved but not without trying to make the acquisition profitable.
Oblama knows all about companies failing, all I have to do is mention Solyndra or Spectrawatt Inc. or Solar Millennium or Beacon Power Corp. Remember them, Oblama? He’d better be quiet because this can come back and bite him in the butt just like saying the Republicans have declared “war on women.”
I understand that some people don’t mind being lied to and will vote for Oblama, he does a tremendous job of lying to all of us and nobody calls him on it. At least not the Mainstream Media. There are those of us who would rather be told the truth which is why we don’t need Oblama to stand there, stare into the teleprompter and tell us lies because we’ll pay him back at the polls in November.
Romney, wake up and act like you want to be president! Oblama’s got nothing to run on except Oblamacare that has the nation divided. He should be easy pickings.

* * *

Short Thoughts:
I understand that the government can tax us for something we have but I don’t understand how it’s constitutional to tax people for something they don’t have? If it’s true that Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme changed his vote at the last minute then I think he was bought off. Whether he was or wasn’t doesn’t matter at this point, it will always stick with him. I’m going to call him, “Chicago Roberts.”
There’s been a new word injected into our vocabulary, it’s Oblamatax. That’s O-Blame-A-Tax. It’s a sure fire way to get us out of the Recession.
You believe that, don’t you?
When the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) was formed why didn’t we create an Organization of Petroleum Importing Countries (OPIC)? Opec would tell us how much they want and we would tell them how much we’ll pay, then we negociate. Seems fair enough to me. Isn’t that what the Department of Energy should have done when it was created during the Carter administration? It sucks billions of tax dollars out of us and gives us nothing in return. That’s another thing that stinks in D.C.
I just finished the book, “The Innocent,” by David Baldacci and it was intense from start to finish. I’m always guessing what’s coming but I only got one thing right. I guessed what main character would die in the end but not the way it happened. Excellent book, excellent writer. My next book, “The Sixth Man,” by . . . you guessed it, David Baldacci.
Until the next time . . .

[9

post-29870","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
