First we get a loaf of frozen bread dough out of the freezer and let it thaw overnight in the refrigerator. About three hours before I make it I’ll set the dough out on the counter and let it come to room temperature. Then the fun part starts, getting that ornery piece of dough to spread out enough to cover our thirteen inch diameter pizza pan. Because dough has a lot of elasticity or memory it keeps wanting to return to its original shape.
I stretch it, finger massage it, beat it, slam it down on the counter, stretch it some more, and finally it stays somewhat in the size I need. I’ve thought about putting it between two pieces of plywood and driving over it with the truck but I haven’t tried it yet. The pan gets sprayed with cooking oil (don’t want that damned thing to stick) and I begin to make the dough conform to the pan. My granddaughter, Makayla, suggest I knead the dough to cure that problem.
We use a store-bought sauce depending on what brand looks good and I spread that around. Next is a couple of handfuls of chopped onions. More or less depending on your taste. Then I spread four or five handfuls of mozzarella cheese over that. I top it off with either chopped smoked deli ham, slices of pepperoni, or cooked ground sausage, and put it into a 450° oven for 13 mins.
Next week: the phone number of a local pizza place in case this recipe fails you and makes me look bad.

* * *

On the last few shows David Letterman spent an extraordinary amount of time knocking Mitt Romney. That can only mean one thing. Oblama’s in trouble and may not get re-elected. There’s a lot of Hollywood Liberals along with Broadway Dave in New York that are going to cry in their beer if that happens. Some of them may even be suicidal. Watch out for “leapers” from tall buildings in November.
I wonder if Dave gets that same tingle up his leg as Chris Matthews when he thinks of Barack Oblama. Maybe the two of them ought to get together.

* * *

And Furthermore:
I’ve come to realize that if I drop a book or a newspaper, I just pick it back up and continue reading. That probably won’t happen with my Kindle Fire, it has breakable parts in it. The repair could cost as much as buying a new one.
The Detroit Lions are driving me nuts; they even have me talking to my Teddy Bear! 44 to 41 and we lost. Yeah, I know, there’s always next week. That was the weirdest Lions loss I’ve ever watched. Before that it was a Lions loss to the New Orleans Saints in 1963 and Tom Dempsey, with only half a foot, kicked a record 63 yd. field goal for the Saints to win the game. The Detroit players just stood there with their heads hung low. That scene repeated itself Sunday.
Unless the government stops, they’re going to regulate our butts right into the poor house. That’s Oblama’s mission, “Make America Pay!” I don’t know about anybody else but I’m voting for Romney. The nonsense going on in this country has got to stop.
Four Americans lost their lives in Libya and Oblama calls it a “bump in the road.”
Everybody knew what Clint Eastwood meant with the empty chair of the presidency except the mainstream news media. Either they aren’t as smart as they should be, or it cuts into their attempts to sway the election towards Oblama.
Until the next time . . .

[9

post-31064","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
