\nThe Clinton County Toys for Tots program is underway with over 35 collection boxes out in businesses throughout the county. Toys will be collected through December 17 and distributed to several hundred children throughout the county.
\nIf your family needs assistance with clothing, food and toys for the holidays, register with Capital Area Community Services at 989-224-6702. If you need assistance with just toys call Clinton County Toys for Tots at 989-224-7248 or email ccchamber@power-net.net<\/a>. All toy requests will be verified with CACS to ensure families are not already being helped.
\nFor anyone donating a toy, please consider this. The campaign always gets lots of games, generic baby dolls, Barbie dolls, generic cars & trucks, footballs and basketballs. Some things that are often requested but we don’t get enough of are:
\n– craft kits
\n– CDs
\n– current release DVDs
\n– sports apparel (hats and shirts)
\n– MP3 players
\n– fishing or hunting items, etc.
\nSome of the specific items on lists already this year include:
\n– La-la-Loopsy dolls
\n– dinosaurs
\n– Spiderman
\n– Legos
\n– Monster High dolls
\n– Avenger Masks
\n– Thomas the Train
\n– Hello Kitty
\nCollection boxes are at the following locations:
\nIn Bath<\/strong>: American Legion and Bath Township Office;
\nIn DeWitt<\/strong>: Classic Pub, DeWitt City Police, DeWitt Township Police & Fire (both locations), Hip Hop Hair and Wireless Zone;
\nIn Fowler<\/strong>: Clinton County Federal Credit Union and Main Street Pizza;
\nIn Ovid<\/strong>: Clinton County Federal Credit Union, Dollar General and Main Street Pizza;
\nIn St. Johns<\/strong>: Big Boy, Briggs Public Library, Citizens Bank, Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, Clinton County Federal Credit Union, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Dollar General, Firstbank Downtown, Gentner Family Dentistry, Modern Concepts Salon, Peebles, St. Johns Police Department, Tractor Supply, Walgreens and Walmart
