This recall is due to trace amounts of unapproved antibiotic residue found in samples of the following products:<br \/>\nHartz Chicken Chews Hartz Oinkies Pig Skin Twists wrapped with Chicken for dogs<br \/>\nAccording to a Hartz Mountain Corporation press release, Hartz testing found trace amounts of unapproved antibiotic residue in samples of Hartz Chicken Chews and Oinkies Pig Skin Twists wrapped with Chicken products.<br \/>\nThese antibiotics are approved for use in poultry in China and other countries, including European Union member states, but are not approved in the U.S.<br \/>\nThe trace amounts of antibiotic residue do not pose a pet health or safety risk.
