\nAs incredible as it may seem, those who track such things, assert that glassblowing is becoming one of the leading hobbies in the United States and is gaining popularity around the globe. The practice has become more than a hobby; indeed, an art unto itself.
\nOn Sunday April 14, area residents will have an opportunity to observe the art in motion when Pam Schuster discusses the art of blowing glass during Clinton County Arts Council\u2019s monthly Sunday Event from 1-3 p.m. at the Gallery. Ms. Shuster will have several of her works on hand while explaining techniques of forming glass into ornaments or decorative and practical pieces.
\nMs. Shuster\u2019s appearance, along with other activities of the day, including light refreshments are sponsored by Al\u2019s Aerial Spraying and are free of charge.
\nThe Gallery is located at 215 N. Clinton Ave. in St. Johns and information regarding these monthly get-togethers \u2013 and other Council related activities \u2013 can be obtained by calling 989 224-2329.
\nActivities of the Arts Council are made possible through generous sponsorships, such as offered by the Rotary Club and regular membership dues and donations.
