Today, volunteers remain a most valued asset at the hospital.<br \/>\nIn celebration of National Volunteer Week, Sparrow Clinton Hospital honored volunteers&#8217; achievements at its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon held April 19.<br \/>\nAll volunteers in good standing were invited to share in the celebration, which recognized the exceptional achievements made by hospital volunteers in 2012.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/gallery\/13april\/goff.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"image\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" \/><em>Sparrow Clinton Hospital President \/ CEO Ed Bruun ( right) joins SCH 2012 Volunteer of the Year Chery Goff (center) and SCH Board of Directors Chairman William Brewbaker.<\/em><br \/>\nChery Goff of St. Johns was named 2012 Volunteer of the Year. An active Sparrow Clinton Hospital advocate for more than 22 years, she has played a vital role in the Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary as a board member, stalwart fundraiser and supporter of all Auxiliary events and activities. Her commitment to that organization&#8217;s success was recognized by her peers in 2005 when she was named Auxillian of the Year.<br \/>\nShe currently serves as co-chair of the Auxiliary Gift Shop, and has been the shop&#8217;s official bookkeeper for the past 17 years. She and her co-chairs work hard to keep the shop supplied with unique gift items by visiting Chicago for the annual vendor fair.<br \/>\n&#8220;Giving 110 percent aptly describes Chery Goff,&#8221; said Nan Simons, director of Sparrow Clinton Hospital Community Relations, Marketing &#038; Volunteers. &#8220;Chery is a dedicated hospital advocate, and an outstanding asset to our team.
