These came to us from Arcadia Publishing in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
The first was a 127-page paperback pictorial entitled Lighthouses of Eastern Michigan. Says the publisher:

From the Straits of Mackinac to the Detroit River, Images of America: Lighthouses of Eastern Michigan reveals intriguing stories of lighthouses and the people who depended on them. Readers will enjoy discovering what happened when a large ship fell 20 feet over one of the Soo Locks and the captain commented, “Good-bye Old World,” as well as of a persistent ghost that caused havoc with the Coast Guard. Which lighthouse was a construction miracle in 1874? And whatever happened to the lost lighthouses of the Detroit River? A collection of the mysteries, storms, fires, and heroics surrounding the lighthouses of eastern Michigan are waiting within.

The most recent, Presque Isle County, will be available on May 13, 2013. According to the publisher:

Arcadia Publishing is best known for its iconic Images of America series, which chronicles the history of small towns and downtowns across the country. Captured in unique pictorial format, small slices of hometown history detail the often forgotten aspects of American life. With more than two hundred vintage images, each title celebrates a town or region, bringing to life the people, places, and events that define the community. Arcadia also publishes other series: Images of Rail, Images of Aviation, Images of Sports, Images of Baseball, Postcard History, Campus History, Corporate History, and Then & Now. A new imprint, Legendary Locals, launched in 2011.

You can already find 132 books of Michigan history.
