Hose, Lillian M. Oakley, Janet Marie Galecka, Diana L. (Jones) Crandall, Alan F. Weber<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Alan F. Weber<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/weber_al.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Alan F. Weber passed away June 13, 2013 at the age of 78. Born July 17, 1934 in St. Johns, he was the son of Albert and Bertha (Pohl) Weber. Alan was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Federal Mogul where he was an Industrial Engineer. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golf.<br \/>\nOn April 29, 1953, Alan married Patricia Smith in Wytheville, VA, where he was pitching in the Minor Leagues. Patricia preceded him in death on December 1, 2001.<br \/>\nAlan is survived by seven children, Shelly (Chuck) Hoffmeyer, Richard Weber, James (Denise) Weber, Diane (Ralph) Feldpausch, Susan Weber, Tom (Kelly) Weber and Cindy (Luke) Hufnagel. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, son, Michael Weber, granddaughter, Amber Rose Hufnagel and his parents.<br \/>\nFuneral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. Burial will follow Mass at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with the Rosary being prayed at 3 p.m. and a Scripture service held at 8 p.m., on Friday, at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Fowler. Memorial donations may be made to No More Sidelines of Central Michigan or University of Michigan Mott Children\u2019s Hospital.<br \/>\nThe family is being served by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Diana L. (Jones) Crandall<\/strong><br \/>\nDiana L. (Jones) Crandall passed away on June 11, 2013 at the age of 70. Born April 11, 1943, she was the daughter of Richard and Marie (Moore) Jones. Diana was a supervisor at GM, both in Lansing and Kalamazoo. She loved her family and friends and was especially fond of cooking for them.<br \/>\nDiana is survived by her children, Becky (Frank) Johnson of Elsie, Pam Barrett of Peyton, CO, sisters, Ruth Coffman, Retha (Rick) Bancroft, brothers, Jim Jones, Dan Jones, Jerry Jones, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Rita Cannon, son James Crandall and daughter, Suzanne Bowers.<br \/>\nThe family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Ovid.<br \/>\nThe family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Arlene (Goerge) Griffin<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/griffin_arlene.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Arlene (Goerge) Griffin, age 84, went to meet her Lord and Savior on June 10, 2013. Born June 8, 1929 on Fowler, MI, the daughter of John and Eleanor Goerge. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ovid. She married Ray Griffin on April 12, 1975 and he survives her.<br \/>\nArlene is also survived by three sons, Gerald (Judy) Schultz, Henry (Margaret) Schultz, and John Schultz, two daughters, Donna (Roger) Lownsbery and Mary (Dave) Womble, two step-children, Carolyn Griffin and Patricia Robinson, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, four brothers, Reynold, Donald (Doris), Gene (Agnes) and Henry (Marcia) Goerge as well as many nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Clarita Fedewa and Helen Armbrustmacher. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Schultz, step-son, Bob Griffin, two brothers, Robert and Anthony Goerge and two sisters, Adeline Rademacher and Janet Martin.<br \/>\nA Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ovid with Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. with the Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Ovid as well as one hour prior to the service at Holy Family Catholic Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Ovid Healthcare. Hose<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/hose_richard.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Richard G. Hose, 77 formerly of Ovid, MI died on Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Walker, MI.  Richard was born on December 23, 1935 in Lake City, MI the son of Vernon and Bernice Hose.  He graduated from Farwell High School and received his BS degree from Central Michigan University.  Dick taught school at Ovid and Ovid-Elsie High School and was a basketball coach.  Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 1954-1956.  On October 31, 1959 he married Karen Gray in Owosso, MI.  She preceded him in death in 2002. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golf and loved to take walks.  He especially loved his family and grandchildren.<br \/>\nHe is survived by his daughter, Kristy (Brian) Byrnes of Rockford, MI and son Mark Hose of Florida; grandchildren, Erin and Ashley Byrnes of Grand Rapids, MI; brother, Terry (Maxine) Hose of Lake, MI, sisters Donna (Bud) Rodabaugh, Elaine (Bud) Loomis and Beth (Gary) Woods all of Farwell, MI. and several nieces and nephews.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a>, St. Johns on Wednesday June 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Tuesday June 11, 2013, 5-8 P.M.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer\u2019s Assn.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Lillian M. Oakley<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/oakley_lillian.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Lillian M. Oakley went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 6, 2013, at the age of 82. Born in Kaleva, Michigan September 7, 1930, she was the daughter of George and Marie (Hoffman) Maidens. She was a former cook\/waitress at Coral Gables and was a retired assembly worker from Lear Corporation (ITT Hancock) in Elsie after 23 years of service. Lillian was a member of Eureka Christian Church and active at the Clinton County Senior Center as well as a Hospice for Clinton County volunteer. Lillian married Velmer Oakley on September 11, 1949 and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2012.<br \/>\nLillian is survived by three children, Sylvia (George) Fuller of Owosso, Ruth (Rudy) Feliu of St. Johns and Dennis (Barb) Oakley of Lansing. She was blessed with many, many, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as her sister, Clara Hartune and brother, Robert Maidens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Velmer Oakley, daughter, Cecelia Oakley, her parents, one sister, Eileen Maidens, and two brothers, William and Joseph Maidens.<br \/>\nFuneral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns, with Pastor Keith Whipple officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Home<\/a> in St. Johns. Memorial contributions may be made to Eureka Christian Church.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Janet Marie Galecka<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/galecka_janet.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Janet Marie (Hartsuff) Galecka passed away on June 6, 2013 at the age of 71. Born November 21, 1941 in Lansing, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Dawn (Hemingway) Hartsuff. Janet was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, held several positions with in the Memorial Healthcare Hospital Auxiliary, was a master gardener and a 1959 graduate of Ovid High School.<br \/>\nJanet married Carl Galecka on March 2, 1984, in Owosso, MI and he survives her. She is also survived by her daughters, Theresa (Sunil) Merchant of West Covina, CA, Cindy (Jay) Brown of Long Beach, CA, one brother, Doug (Clarice) Hartsuff of Ovid, one sister, Barbara (Bruce) Hale of Tyler, TX, granddaughter, Nisha Merchant, sister-in-law, Chris Hartsuff, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeffrey Hartsuff.<br \/>\nFuneral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Owosso, with Fr. Michael O\u2019Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Ford Cemetery in Elsie, MI.<br \/>\nThe family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Ovid.<br \/>\nMemorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Shiawassee County or St. Paul Catholic Church.
