\"\"Clinton Area Care Center’s 2013 Harold Benson Scholarships
\nWith 13 applicants applying for Clinton Area Care Center’s 2013 Harold Benson Scholarships, the Scholarship Committee selected three outstanding and hardworking young people to honor with a $1,000.00 Benson scholarship each to help them further pursue their nursing degrees.

\nThe first recipient who was a winner last year of the Harold Benson Scholarship is Grace Hummel. Grace is from DeWitt, Michigan and is currently a student at Baker College Her reference said that Grace is not only committed to the field of nursing; she also exhibits exemplary characteristics of a nurse. She is hard working, compassionate, and eager to learn and grow. Grace says that one day she hopes to be overseas using her skill in nursing to serve those less fortunate than herself.
\nThe next recipient is Cameryn Shaver. Cameryn is graduating in June from St. Johns High School and will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall. She says that her ultimate goal is to be an Acute Care Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. She has a Iove of children and wants to spend her life touching the lives of as many special children as possible. Cameryn’s reference said that Cameryn is a truly amazing student and person. She will do wonderful things for the benefit of others in the field of nursing.
\nThe final recipient of the Harold Benson Scholarship is Joseph Wojciechowski from Dewitt. Joseph will be attending the University of Detroit Mercy in collaboration with Aquinas College and St. Mary’s Mercy Health Care in Grand Rapids. Joseph says in his essay that he has known since he was a child that nursing was the occupation he knew he wanted to become. Joseph says he wants to be able to help the lives of the sick and suffering.
