McDiarmid, Dorothy (Shultz) Bullard, Agnes Mary Hrncharik, Barbara J. (Fuerstenau) Foster Davis Moore<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Edna M. McDiarmid<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/mcdiarmid_edna.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Edna M. McDiarmid, age 85, of Ovid, MI died Saturday, July 27, 2013. Born November 15, 1927 to Leo and Lucy (Gage) Hanes, she married Bruce McDiarmid on January 26, 1946 in Ovid. Edna worked and retired from Schmeltzers in St. Johns.<br \/>\nSurviving are her husband, Bruce; son, Jay McDiarmid of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter, Donna (Tony) Willett of Owosso; grandchildren, Terry Willett, Shawn (Nina) Willett, Shelley (Stewart) Olger, Marty (Ron) Kailbourne, and Alaina and Molly; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Esther Rittiger; and many nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bruce Lindauer; 2 unnamed twin daughters; and 2 grandchildren, Steven and Jessica Lindauer.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday July 31, 2013 at the Houghton Chapel of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>, 232 E. Oak St., Ovid, MI 48866. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 30, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, 30400 Telegraph Road, Suite 150, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Dorothy (Shultz) Bullard<\/strong><br \/>\nDorothy (Shultz) Bullard, age 100, of St. Johns, MI died Saturday, July 27, 2013. Born May, 5, 1913 Dorothy was a member of Pilgrim United Methodist Church and a life- long member of the Radiant Chapter OES in St. Johns. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On October 23, 1930 she married R.G. Bullard, who preceded her in death in 1973.<br \/>\nSurviving are her daughter; Janice (Larry) Blizzard of DeWitt; grandchildren, Rebekah (Tim) Bidelman, Dan (Trishta) Blizzard, Marisa (Jason) Kindel, Andrew (Megan) Blizzard, Rhonda Huffman; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Alice Bullard and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Lynn A. Bullard; brother, George Shultz; and sister, Vera Norris.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday July 30, 2013 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Home<\/a>. The family will receive friends from 3:00 \u2013 8:00 PM Monday July 29, 2013 at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Agnes Mary Hrncharik<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/hrncharik_agnes.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Agnes Mary Hrncharik, age 89, of Ovid, Michigan died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, Michigan.<br \/>\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Ovid, Michigan on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI. Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.<br \/>\nAgnes was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 27, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Marek) Hnevsa. On June 26, 1948 she married Paul J. Hrncharik at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso, Michigan. Paul predeceased her on March 28, 1992. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her garden, flowers, baking, sewing, embroidering, crocheting, and doing puzzle books. Agnes was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. She resided most of her life in the Ovid-Elsie area, and was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge #225 Bannister, Michigan, Holy Family Catholic Church and the Altar Society.<br \/>\nShe is survived by son Gary and Vivian Hrncharik of Ovid, MI, 2 daughters; Joanne and Thomas Therman of Stanwood, MI, Dianne Strickland of Orange Park, FL, daughter in law Renee, 2 grandchildren; Hope and Scott Jones, Gary and Sandi Hrncharik Jr. 5 great grandchildren; Scott Jr., Isaac, Paul IV, Audri, Braylon, and her grand puppy Joey. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, son Larry, son in law Thomas Strickland, 6 sisters, and 2 brothers.<br \/>\nMemorials may be made to Ovid Healthcare, Ovid, Michigan. (Fuerstenau) Foster Davis Moore<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/moore_barbara.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Barbara Foster of St. Johns, MI passed away Wednesday July 24, 2013. She was born on April 17, 1928 to Clarence H. and Beatrice (Bisbing) Fuerstenau at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. During her childhood, she grew to become an accomplished pianist and an avid 4-H member. Her graduation from DeWitt High School in 1945 led her to graduate from Michigan State Short Course and Lansing Secretarial School.<br \/>\nBarb married Duane Davis in 1948, moved to Bingham Township, and raised four children. She maintained her piano\u2014her lifelong passion and talent\u2014and realized her dream to become a church organist for Bingham EUB and St. Johns First Congregational; she maintained her organist position at St. Johns First United Methodist Church for a strong twenty-two years of worship and music. She was professionally trained in organ by celebrated organist Dr. Arnold of Michigan State University. She went on to become a member of the American Guild of Organists.<br \/>\nBefore her marriage, Barb worked at Michigan State University in a secretarial position. Afterwards, she worked for the St. Johns Federal Land Bank. When her children were older, she went back to be a Public School country music teacher and occasionally taught private piano lessons. Barbara was the Bingham Township Clerk for many years. She also worked for the Register of Deeds Office. She eventually went back to the Federal Land Bank where she retired.<br \/>\nHer activism in the Clinton County 4-H community was incredibly noteworthy. She was the co-leader of the Stony Creek 4-H club and a member of the Clinton County 4-H Service Club.<br \/>\nIn 1983 Barb married Ed Foster and moved to Pompeii to live in a sunny little farmhouse. The couple lived a joyful, happy existence, filling their days with grandchildren and the \u201cfarm life.\u201d They often vacationed in Lakeland, FL\u2014where the Tigers train\u2014and took in a few nights at the ballpark. After Ed\u2019s death, she married Kenneth Moore of St. Johns in 1995. He precedes her in death.<br \/>\nLater in Barb\u2019s life, she filled each day with music\u2014attending concerts at Michigan State University with friends, providing accompaniment for high school students at solo and ensemble contests, and was occasionally the featured pianist at Morning Musical. Her travels were extensive\u2014she saw the deserts and pyramids of Egypt from the back of a camel, the Jordan River of Israel, the melting glaciers of Alaska, the Caribbean from the deck of a cruise boat, and the majestic mountains of Glacier National Park. She even tried her luck in Vegas!<br \/>\nBarb leaves her four surviving children: Cindy (Larry) Kindel of St. Johns, Diane (Robert) DeFauw of Ann Arbor, Brian (Mary) Davis of Savage, MN, Mary (Jerry) Krupp of New Castle, IN; adored grandchildren: Gregory Kindel, Grant (Allison) Kindel, Megan (Phil Gouel,) DeFauw, Nicole DeFauw, Matthew DeFauw, Martha Davis, Allison Krupp, and John Krupp; two great grandchildren: Aiden Kindel and Makenzie Kindel; sister Margaret (Donald) Nelson, Brother Rev. William (Patricia) Fuerstenau; sister-in-law Alma Davis; a plethora of special cousins, nieces, and nephews.<br \/>\nBarbara was a long time member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.<br \/>\nServices will be held at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. State St. St. Johns, Michigan, Monday July 29th at 11:00 with burial taking place at 2:30 at Collier Cemetery in Washington Twp. Visitation will be at Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St. St. Johns on Sunday July 28th from 2:00 \u2013 8:00.
