\nIt’s a Friday morning at the crack of dawn when I come across a couple hundred youth. They are roving in packs but they’re not a street gang causing disruption and chaos. Instead, I witness them shoveling manure, raking out barns, washing down pig stalls and packing up their animals, exhibits, wares and ribbons!
\n\"\"It’s the end of the 4-H week at our fairgrounds, it’s 7am and these youths are out of bed, working hard at cleaning up and the strange part is that they are “laughing and smiling “- what’s up with that?
\nWatching this event is one of my personal highlights of the 4-H fair and I’ll tell you why. It restores my faith that our world will be OK in the future, that tomorrow’s leaders are here among them.
\nThis is just one community and there are 1,000’s just like them throughout the nation. Their work ethic is strong their attitudes are good. I tip my hat to each and every one of them; your parents should be proud of you, as am I.
\nHere’s my answer to crime prevention . . . if the courts would sentence every juvenile delinquent to a year in a 4-H club, maybe we could turn them around from a life of crime. Just maybe we could save some of these kids, who otherwise do not have a chance.
\nFor 23 years I have witnessed this phenomenon and thank goodness it hasn’t changed. It was just time to share my thoughts with you and thank the 4-H youth for keeping their names and faces from coming across my desk.

The America I Knew
\nI remember when America was still America. Do you?
\nIt wasn’t all that long ago when our nation’s war veterans would return from combat and our country greeted them with spectacular parades. But today’s military members finish their active duty and are viewed by the Department of Homeland Security as potential domestic terrorists.
\nI also remember a time when good American parents would have fought to safeguard their children’s innocence. But today , too many parents stand meekly by while schools destroy their young one’s innocence by inappropriately teaching sexual education during the earliest grades and proclaiming homosexuality to be just “an alternative lifestyle.”
\nAnd absolutely no decent American parent would have ever allowed anyone to inappropriately touch their child’s private parts or scan nude photographs of their children like what shamefully happens every day in our nation’s airports.
\nAnd what part of, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” don’t our leaders understand?
\nIt is time for our nation’s citizens to bravely stand up and fight back against establishment politicians, educators and a Hollywood dedicated to destroying our American Christian values.
\nWe must gain control of our Country, Now!
