Hall, in June, 1949 at the age of 59. Chief Glazier started with the dept in 1936 as a patrolman.<br \/>\nGlazier recalled a time when there were only two police officers on the force. They had to use their own cars and were reimbursed $10 a week. &#8220;There was no central office and police and fire calls were received at the Waterworks.
