Miss Alta Black, the home&#8217;s housekeeper\/cook, took charge of the home until a new matron could be hired.<br \/>\nIn early 1957 Clinton County hired Mrs. Irene Nobis to take over as the Childrens Home Matron. During her tenure a new Childrens Home was built on S. Swegles St. and the house on E.
