Winkler, Sr., Lucille M. Fox, Albert D. Thelen<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Albert D. Thelen<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/thelen_albert.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Albert D. Thelen, age 59, died November 21, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on July 1, 1954 in St. Johns, the son of Martin and Martha (Rademacher) Thelen. Albert was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was employed by Simon Bros. Trucking in Fowler. He was an avid Michigan State fan. When he wasn\u2019t driving his semi, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.<br \/>\nHe is survived by his children, Lisa (Jon) Myers of Shepherd, Eric (Renee) Thelen of Westphalia, Nick (Shelley) Thelen of St. Louis, Ben (Andrea) Thelen of North Branch, Katie Thelen of Lansing and former wife and friend, LeAnn Thelen, ten grandchildren, Donovan, Paige and Tessa Myers, Emma, Maddie and Nolan Thelen, Parker Thelen, Charlotte and Quinn Thelen, Leah Thelen, his mother, Martha Thelen, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by his father, Martin, brother, Dale and sister, Phyllis Thelen.<br \/>\nThe Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2013 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 3 p.m. at the Goerge Chapel of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>, 11112 W. Ionia St., Fowler. Contributions may be made in Albert\u2019s memory to C. S. Mott Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong> Frank A. Winkler, Sr.<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/winkler_frank.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>&#8220;Polka Frank with the red shoes&#8221; passed away Friday evening Nov.15, 2013 in Lansing. Age 82. Frank was born May 8, 1931 in Elsie. His parents were John and Mary (Koutnik) Winkler. He married Geraldine M. Holechek on June 23,1951 in Bannister.<br \/>\nShe is left to mourn him as are his 8 children: Frank Jr., Ovid,  John J. (Loretta), Elsie.  David A., Elsie.  Cathy (Robert), Florida.  Sherry, Laingsburg.  Suzanne (Dennis), Kingsley.  Ric (Jacki), Swartz Creek.  MaryBeth (Thad), Elsie. 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Extended daughters: Roxie and Toni, Mary Jane and Joan. Special Niece Joanne (Bob) and numerous other loving nieces and nephews. His infant daughter Theresa and infant great grand daughter Trinity have passed away.<br \/>\nFrank was a well known D.J. at W.O.E.S.  He was an accountant and a Data Processer. Frank was a retired Permanent Deacon of the Catholic Church. A Member of the ZCBJ Lodge of Bannister and the Elsie Historical Society. Member of the Shiawassee Co. Genealogical Society, Czechoslovak Genealogical Society of America,  International Polka Association, Cleveland Polka Association, National Czech and Slovak Museum, Cedar Rapids, IA.,  Ceska Sin Karlin, Cleveland OH, Czech Heritage Foundation, Alliance of Czech Catholics,  Ellis Island Foundation,  Honorary Citizen of Boys Town.<br \/>\nFuneral Mass will take place on Tuesday Nov.19, 2013 at 11:00 at St. Cyril, Bannister. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie and Rev.Fr. Tom Kowalczk  will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning from 2-9 pm and at the church in Bannister on Tuesday morning starting at 9:00 am. There will be a Parish Vigil at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning on Monday evening at 7:00 pm. All are welcome.<br \/>\nMemorials may be made to Bannister ZCBJ Building Fund, Elsie Historical Society or W.O.E.S. Fox<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/fox_lucille.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\" \/>Lucille M. Fox , 91, of St. Johns, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Lucille was born May 25, 1922 in Clinton County, the daughter of Louis G. and Mary (Wieber) Thelen. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and former member of St. Patricia Guild. She enjoyed volunteer work, people, baking, reading and the outdoors. She married Hugo Fox May 26, 1945; and he preceded her in death June 9, 2001.<br \/>\nSurviving are four daughters, Pat Fox (De Smith) of Battle Creek, Bernie (Greg) Wagner, Ruth (Roger Thelen) Thompson all of St. Johns, Linda (Dan) Lee of South Carolina, daughter-in-law, Leslie Fox of Haslett, and 10 grandchildren, Brent Thompson, Kelly Thompson, Rachel Mitchell, Zachary Wagner, Audrea, Jordan and Jared Fox, Amber, Taylor and Madalyn Lee, sisters in law, Eilene Thelen and Betty Thelen. Preceding her in death were a son, Ken Fox in 1993, grandson, Aaron Wagner in 1994 and son in law, Fred Thompson in 2003, sisters, Florence (Al) Becker, Leona (Martin) Kloeckner, Arlene (Roy) Harr, brothers, Clement (Mary Ann) Thelen, Jerome (Gen) Thelen, Marvin Thelen, and Claude (Bonnie) Thelen.<br \/>\nFuneral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams presiding. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM with a rosary at 3:30 PM and a vigil service at 7 PM at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>, 104 E. Cass St, St. Johns, MI. 48879.
