\nThe St. Johns Area Girl Scouts recently donated candy and nuts from their Fall Product sales to the Clinton County Sheriff\u2019s Department as part of their Hometown Heroes project. Any time you see a girl selling nuts and candy, or Girl Scout cookies, you have the option to purchase some for yourself, or to purchase products that will be donated to local community heroes.
\n\"\"
\nThe troops decide where the nuts, candy and cookies purchased through Hometown Heroes will be donated; they can choose police officers, fireman, emergency medical technicians, assisted living facilities, local military service women and men, and other groups.
\n\"\"
\nOn January 10th the girls will begin selling Girl Scout cookies.
\nBuying Girl Scout cookies is more than just handing over money for a box. It\u2019s about the skills a girl gains from interacting directly with you. Your purchase means you get tasty cookies\u2014and a girl learns a lifetime of skills.
\nThis year Girl Scout Cookies are $4 per box; and if you purchase five boxes for only $20, you can enter to win five cases of cookies<\/em>!
\nThis is about way more than just what’s in the box. With your help, girls learn five skills:
\n– Goal Setting,
\n– Decision Making,
\n– Money Management,
\n– People Skills, and
\n– Business Ethics.
\nIf you purchase five boxes or more at one time, you will receive an entry slip. Fill out the slip completely and hand it back directly. It’s that simple.
