\nDespite ticket sales exceeding $600 by one member, Sparrow Clinton Auxilians are being encouraged to raise their efforts as Friday March 21 appears on the horizon. That\u2019s when Elvis Tribute Artist Jake Slater will tread the stage of St. Johns High School Auditorium in a two-hour performance, reliving vicariously the captivating aura radiated by the King.
\nSlater, a national and international award winner, has been impersonating Elvis Presley for over six years and is the only one to win the Saginaw Kingfest twice \u2013 in 2011 and 2013. He has performed for audiences of all sizes, at a variety of unique venues benefiting many charitable causes. His appearances regularly draw sell-out crowds and, according to event chair Diane Zuker, full capacity seating is expected Friday March 21 when the curtain is drawn.
\nMs. Zuker explained that the special show has been arranged as a fund raiser to support the Auxiliary\u2019s $100,000 pledge to the emergency wing now under construction. \u201cWe look forward to a full house when Elvis visits St. Johns,\u201d she said, \u201cand if you wish to learn more about Slater, visit his website at www.etajakeslater.com<\/a>.\u201d
\nA select area has been identified as VIP seating at $25 per person which includes a special gift bag and an opportunity to meet with the performer. Regular tickets, which include light refreshments during intermission, are being sold in advance at $10 and $8 for adults and students, respectively. At the door prices will be $12 adults and $10 students.
