Higgins<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Anne Christine (Hufnagel) Montfort<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/montfort_anne.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Anne Christine (Hufnagel) Montfort, 75 of St. Johns, MI formerly of Cheshire, Connecticut died on May 7, 2014 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.  Anne was born on June 2. 1938 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Albert and Hilda (Motz) Hufnagel.  She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in 1956 as Valedictorian and received her BS degree in Chemistry from St. Louis University in 1960.  Anne enjoyed playing Bridge, gardening, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.<br \/>\nSurvivors include her children, Margaret (David) Barondess of Okemos, MI, Christine (Lars Rosenblad) Montfort of Desmet, ID, Nicholas Montfort (Nancy Rata) of Catonsville MD; 3 grandchildren, Doria Montfort, Jacob and Abbie Barondess; a brother Anthony \u201cTony\u201d (Lana) Hufnagel of St. Johns, MI and sister Elizabeth \u201cBetsy\u201d (David) Everett of California and former husband Donald Montfort of CT.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a> on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Douglas Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 4-8 P.M. Memorials may be given to Sparrow-Clinton Foundation.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Dean H. Worrall<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/worrall_dean.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Dean H. Worrall passed away at his home in St. Johns Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the age of 75. He was born September 26, 1938 in St. Johns, MI the son of Henry and Gladys (Moore) Worrall. Dean retired from Federal Mogul Corp., was an avid hunter, fisherman and family man. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren\u2019s sporting and high school events.<br \/>\nSurviving is his wife of 57 years, Sharon; four children, sons, Eugene and Kelly, daughter, Stephanie (Gary) Doty and adopted daughter, Cheryl (John) Goss; seven grandchildren,  Cassandra, Corey and Cody Worrall, Michael and Christopher Doty, Derek and Hayley Walton; three great grandchildren, Colton Fisher, Christeanna and Clayton Hughes; sister, Diana (Jim) Cathey; sister-in-law, Carol Eldridge; aunts, Hazel and Lucille Worrall, Joanne Clark and Gerry Moore; many nieces, nephews and cousins and good friend, co-worker and fishing partner, Robert Thelen.  He was preceded in death by his parents, half brother, William Butler, half brother and sister-in-law David and Peggy Butler, father and mother-in-law, Paul and Pansy (Hearl) Eldridge and brother-in-law Douglas Eldridge.<br \/>\nAs per Dean\u2019s wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 12:00 noon Friday, May 9, 2014 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a>, St. Johns with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Fongers<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/fonger_marvin.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Marvin J. Fongers died, with his daughter by his side, Monday, May 5, 2014 at the age of 86. He was born October 25, 1927 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Thomas and Gertrude (Wever) Fongers. Marvin attended Ferris State University then transferred to the Milwaukee School of Engineering, obtaining his degree in Electronics Engineering. Marvin served in the Army and worked for the State of Michigan, Department of Transportation retiring in 1988 with 32 years of service.<br \/>\nSurviving is his wife of 59 years Sandra; children, Mark (Marsha) Fongers of St. Johns and Leslie Fox of Haslett; grandchildren, Audrea Fox, Jordan (Tina) Fox and Jared Fox; step-grandchildren, Adam Alpine and April (Neal) O\u2019Connell; a sister, Julia Nicloy and sister-in-law Erma Fongers both of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews; special friend Derek Baetz and special neighbors and friends, Dennis and Pat Koenigsknecht. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald, brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Fongers and son-in-law Kenneth Fox.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 10, 2014 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a>, St. Johns with Pastor Ellen Zienert officiating. Military honors provided by the St. Johns Honor Guard. The family will receive relatives and friends 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. (Bertram) Brockwell<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/brockwell_karen.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Karen M. (Bertram) Brockwell, of Lansing and formerly of Fowler, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 46. Born February 14, 1968 to Jerry and Barb (Michalek) Bertram, she worked at AIG as a claims adjuster and was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. Karen married Brandon Brockwell and he survives her.<br \/>\nAlso surviving are her children, Aidan and Sawyer Brockwell of Lansing; her parents, Jerry and Barb Bertram of Fowler; brothers, Joe (Jackie) Bertram, Tony (Kristi) Bertram; mother-in-law, Brenda Shepherd; father-in-law, Jerry Brockwell; brother-in-law, Joray Pulido; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Bradley Bertram, and grandparents; Alfred and Mary Bertram, Steve Michalek and Eileen Myers.<br \/>\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, May 9, 2014 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 545 N. Maple St., Fowler, MI 48835 with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. Burial will follow at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Home, 11112 W. Root, age 61 of DeWitt, MI died on Saturday May 3, 2014 at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, MI. Michelle was born on August 3, 1952 the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Edwards) Sanders. Thurlby, of Fowler, MI died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 68.  Born January 1, 1946 to Lloyd and Elenore (Hillton) Thurlby, Tom served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of VFW Post #3733.  Tom married Carolyn (Epps) Thurlby in 1964 and she survives him.<br \/>\nAlso surviving are his children; Anna Reed of Lansing, Thomas (Debra) Thurlby of Fowler, Sandy (Jeremy) Cooper of Ovid, and Lloyd (Debbie) Thurlby of Ionia; grandchildren; Craig and Kyle Ritter, Brianna and Brandon Thurlby; great grandchildren, Mariah Moltmaker, Kyleigh and Lucas Ritter; sisters, Maxine Bevier and Donnis (Chuck) Geldersma; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Norm and Howard Thurlby.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns.  Burial will follow at East Plains Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at 10 AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Benjamin<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/benjamin_eugene.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Eugene A. Benjamin, of Fowler, MI, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 92. Born February 20, 1922 to Fred and Cora (Patterson) Benjamin, he was a farmer and a member of Maranatha United Brethren Church in Perrinton. In 1952, Eugene married Donna (Ruedger) Benjamin and she preceded him in death in 2006.<br \/>\nSurviving are his children, Jerry Benjamin of Fowler, Roger (Karen) Benjamin of Fowler, Connie (Brian) Allbright of Freeport, and Bonnie (Ron) Cuthbert of Ithaca; grandchildren, Chris (Jenna) Benjamin, Laura (Zach) Lambright, Ashlee Benjamin, Sarah and Briana Allbright; great grandchildren, Collin, Aiden, and Ethan Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. He graduated from St. Johns High School in 1975 and worked as a meat cutter for L &#038; L Foods.  On April 4, 1981 he married Jane E. Fox in St. Johns.  Currently David had worked at Habitat Restore, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, travel with his family and was a U of M fan.<br \/>\nDavid is survived by his wife Jane, children Daniel and Megan Motz both of Colorado; sisters, Sharon (Stuart) Fitzpatrick of St. Johns, Betty (Barry) Bauer of St. Johns, Barb (Mark) Parbs of Medical Lake WA and Debra (Jeff) Wilcox of Parma, MI.<br \/>\nMass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 11:00A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev.
