Community Christian Church June 16-19
\nThe public is invited to join with Community Christian Church, 400 E. State Street (M-21) in St. Johns, for their free Vacation Bible School to be held Monday through Thursday, June 16-19, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The church\u2019s V.B.S. is for children, ages 4 years old through 5th grade.
\nThis year\u2019s theme is \u201cWeird Animals: Where Jesus\u2019 Love Is One-of-a-Kind.\u201d God filled the world with a lot of crazy creatures, and that includes us. Sometimes kids feel weird, different, or lost in the crowd. The extraordinary love of Jesus reminds everyone that they are precious and treasured.
\nAt Weird Animals Vacation Bible School, kids experience God\u2019s Word in surprising and unforgettable ways. Each day one simple Bible truth will be reinforced, making it easier for kids to remember and apply to real life. Each participant receives a daily Bible Buddy wearable tag with the day\u2019s Scripture verse printed on it that they can take home.
\nThe mission for the week is to raise money that will be used by World Vision to provide clean water for school children in India. Just $2.50 can provide clean water for a child in India for a whole year! Together, children at VBS can make a difference.
\nAt VBS this year there will also be fun songs, energizing games, and delicious, wacky treats to eat. And on one special night children will get to learn about some REAL weird animals that will be visiting the church from Potter Park Zoo. Zoo volunteers will bring a select few animals from Lansing so that kids can learn all about them and what makes them unique. Students may even get to touch them! Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for the special conclusion and lesson summaries at 7:40pm.
