{"id":41175,"date":"2014-06-19T20:52:44","date_gmt":"2014-06-20T00:52:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/?p=41175"},"modified":"2014-06-19T20:52:44","modified_gmt":"2014-06-20T00:52:44","slug":"mmdhd-162","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/archive1\/mmdhd-162\/","title":{"rendered":"MMDHD conducting phone survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not a scam<!--more--><br \/>\nIf you receive a call from someone \u201con behalf of your local health department,\u201d asking you to take a survey, don\u2019t worry; it\u2019s not a scam.<br \/>\nRandomly selected residents in Clinton, Gratiot and Montcalm counties will receive a phone survey from Public Sector Consultants, on behalf of the Mid-Michigan District Health Department (MMDHD) between June 15 and September 7, 2014.<br \/>\nThe purpose of this short 10 minute Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey (BRFSS) is to gather information on human behavior and lifestyle patterns, such as access to healthcare and health insurance, smoking, and exercise. Completing the survey will give MMDHD valuable information on the health of our communities, help determine strategies to improve health, and assist in securing funding to implement programs<br \/>\nIt\u2019s important to note that the calls will be coming from an out-of-state call center, manned by Survey Sampling International (SSI) employees, and may be identified on caller IDs as \u201cSSI.\u201d The calls will be placed on weekdays and weekends, and no later than 9:00 p.m.<br \/>\nThe BRFSS was established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a way to collect important health-related information.
