There is nothing wrong with being mad, but how that anger is handled is very important.
MSU Extension Early Childhood Educator, Theresa Silm, will be offering a class focused on helping young children learn how to handle their anger.
The process begins with adults learning to understand a child’s developmental abilities and how to visit their perspective. That’s an important beginning. The class will cover ways that you can help children develop and practice coping skills as they learn self-control.
The class will be held on Tuesday, July 8th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. The class is free of charge and will be held in the Clinton County Courthouse on M-21 in St. Johns. The class will meet in the EOC room on the Garden Level (basement) of the Courthouse. Open to parents, childcare providers and anyone who interacts with young children and would like to enhance their personal skills, the class also offers childcare training hours.
