(Dot) Millman, Fred Blink, Donald Scott Gladstone Jr.<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Ronald Joseph Higgins<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/higgins_ronald.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Ronald Joseph Higgins, 70, of Burbank California passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 30, 2014 surrounded by his family.<br \/>\nRon loved his faith, his family and music.  He combined these interests throughout his life.  At every Sunday Mass he played trumpet alongside his wife, Karen who was the church organist.  Ron was also very involved with his children and their musical endeavors.  Ron was a 1961 graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns. He loved marching band and played while at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan, where he studied economics and earned an MBA.  He later played French horn in a number of community concerts bands in Saginaw, Royal Oak, Philadelphia, Seattle and Burbank.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/higgins_ronald2.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Ron was the proud founder of Bicycle Bands International in 1976.  The group performed music while riding various kinds of bicycles in formation   The band won numerous awards including best in show and appeared on television in the Hudson&#8217;s Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit.  The band&#8217;s broad appeal was recognized when it was invited to perform at the Five Borough Bicycle Tour in New York City in 1982 and 1983.<br \/>\nRonald was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 21, 1943 to Donald and Roxie (Mahoney) Higgins.  He married Karen A. Levi on August 5, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan.  Ron worked as financial analyst for Sperry Vickers in Troy, Michigan and CIGNA in Philadelphia, PA.<br \/>\nRonald is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen Higgins, children Aaron (Christine) Higgins and Amy Higgins; grandchildren Evan Higgins and Isaac Higgins and sister Susan (John) Paige.<br \/>\n<strong>A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison, MI<\/strong> Interment will be at St. Andrews Cemetery in Saginaw MI.<br \/>\nIn lieu of flowers the family suggests your support go to local musician and school music programs.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Debra (Bashore) Hunt<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/hunt_debra.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Debra (Bashore) Hunt left to join our Savior on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the young age of 57. Debra was born in St. Johns, Michigan on June 26, 1957 the daughter of Galen and Betty (Dunham) Bashore. She had a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, amazing grandma, caring sister, and a supportive and inspiring friend to many. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Eaton Community Pallative Care in Charlotte, Michigan.<br \/>\nDebra leaves behind her beloved husband, Randal Hunt of Elsie, Michigan, two sons; Mathew Byrnes and Kara Jones of Ovid, Michigan and Jason Hunt of Holland, Michigan, daughter Hillary and Nick Fabus of Elsie, Michigan, 5 grandchildren; Ethan, Calen, Braylon Byrnes, Chase and Cade Fabus, her in-laws; Bill and Janice Hunt of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, two brothers; Bruce and Barbara Bashore of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Gary and Beverly Bashore of Spring Lake, Michigan, sister Diane and Jerry Guyski of Owosso, Michigan, and many special nieces and nephews. Debra will be reunited in Heaven with her parents Galen and Betty Bashore, Grandma Nida Dunham, son Aaron Hunt, and niece Kimberly.<br \/>\nDebra will be fondly remembered for her work as a daycare provider, office manager, and elderly care provider, her smile, love of her family and friends, her strength, determination, and courage. She loved decorating, entertaining, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends, as well as &#8220;whipping up a batch&#8221; of her famous sugar cookies for any occasion.<br \/>\nFuneral Services and Celebration of her life will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home, Elsie, MI on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 6:00 \u2013 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. \u2013 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Eaton Community Palliative Care of Charlotte or Hospice House of Shiawassee County. The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/a> Elsie, Michigan.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Dorothy K. (Dot) Millman<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nDorothy K. (Dot) Millman, born May 11, 1922; died July 4, 2014 at age 92, resident of Venice, Fl. She was married 69 years to William V. Millman as of June 5th.<br \/>\nShe is survived by her husband of Venice, FL and brother, Robert C. Kraft of Dallas TX. She was predeceased by her parents Russell and Doris Kraft and brother, James R. Kraft of Venice. Dorothy (Dot) has four sons; William L. (Linda), Robert G. (Mia), James R. (Ann), and Richard C. (Rita), ten grand children and thirteen great grand children.<br \/>\nDot was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. She developed a great love of genealogy and has been chasing family connections for 35 years. She was a member of the Venice Presbyterian Church.<br \/>\nA celebration of life service was held Friday, July 11 at 9:30 am at the Village on the Isle. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to: Tidewell Hospice, at 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238 or website <a href=\"http:\/\/givetotidewell.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">givetotidewell.org<\/a> or give to a charity of your choice.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Fred Blink<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/sjindy\/obits\/images2\/blink_fred.jpg\" HSPACE=\"8\" ALIGN=\"left\"\/>Fred Blink, age 100, passed away on July 11, 2014. He was born February 15, 1914 in Kalamazoo, the son of Maynard and Elsie (Klepper) Blink. He formerly lived in Kalamazoo and Jackson. Fred was a member of First United Methodist church of Sebring, Florida and served in the National Guard from 1933-1936 and the Army Air Corps from 1936-1939. He was a retired radio technician from the Michigan State Police after 36 years of service. Fred married Marie Rickard, September 11, 1937 and she preceded him in death on July 1, 2008.<br \/>\nSurviving are two sons, Donald (Janice) Blink of Indianapolis, Indiana and Richard (Barbara) Blink of St. Johns, five granddaughters, Donnell (Larry) Elsner, Deanne (Douglas) Campbell, Debra Blink, all of Indiana, and Gretchen (Chris) Mensing of Lansing and Karen Blink of St. Johns, and seven great grandchildren. Fred was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jacob, Thomas, Andrew and Richard Blink.<br \/>\nThere will be no visitation as Fred will be cremated. His cremains will be interred at Roseland Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Memorials may be made to Michigan State Police, 333 S. Grand Ave., P.O. Box 30634, Lansing, MI 48909. The family was served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Donald Scott Gladstone Jr.<\/strong><br \/>\nDonald Scott Gladstone Jr. passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the age of 34. He was born July 4, 1979 and spent his childhood in St. Johns.<br \/>\nSurviving are his children, Brady, Dameon and Faith; mother, Vicki Swan; step-mother, Lorie Weitzel; sister, Liticha Alvarez; brothers, David Alvarez, Tim and Luke Gladstone; grandparents, Robert and Kay Gladstone and Dave Strauss.
