Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.<br \/>\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril&#8217;s Catholic Church Bannister, MI on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Bill Gruden officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.<br \/>\nIrene was born in Belgium on July 28, 1922. On March 9, 1942 she married Arthur Baert in the Netherlands; Arthur died February 5, 1969. Irene worked for Ovid Elsie Schools in the custodial department, and worked for Capital Area Community Services Senior Aid Program. She enjoyed bowling, knitting and sewing. Her grandchildren were very special to her. Irene resided most of her life in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Chapin before moving to Elsie in 1969. She was a member of St. Cyril&#8217;s Catholic Church, Bannister.<br \/>\nShe is survived by 1 daughter Sonja and Keith Homer of Elsie, MI, 3 sons; Jimmy and Kathleen Baert of St. Johns, MI, Bob Baert of San Antonio, TX, David and Pauline Baert of St. Johns, MI, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 5 sisters and 1 brother.<br \/>\nMemorial may be made to Meals on Wheels Program. The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/a> Elsie, Michigan.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Lyle Maudlin<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/maudin_lyle.jpg\" alt=\"maudin_lyle\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-42377\" \/>Lyle Maudlin, age 75 of St. Johns, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.watkinsfuneralhomes.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.watkinsfuneralhomes.com<\/a>, Durand Chapel with Rev. Gerald Sever, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.<br \/>\nLyle was born September 21, 1938 in Hazelton Township, a son of Roland and Arlene (Alderman) Maudlin. He attended Corunna High School, graduating in 1956. Lyle went on to serve his country faithfully in the United States Air Force, being honorably discharged in 1963.<br \/>\nPrior to his retirement, Lyle worked over 25 years for General Motors at the Flint Truck and Bus Plant. On October 18, 2008, Lyle married Janice (VanBuhlar) at St. Mary&#8217;s Catholic Church in Morrice. He was a member of the St. Johns VFW Post 4113 and the Owosso Eagles Club where he enjoyed bowling. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, gardening, going for walks and homemade ice cream.<br \/>\nMr. Maudlin is survived by his wife, Janice; 2 daughters: Jeanette (Bert) Socia of Durand, Jeannine Maudlin of Dorr; 4 step-children: James DeLuca, Lisa (Gregory) Atkinson, Janel (Scott) Sieffert, Colleen Austin; 15 grandchildren; brother, Lee (Pat) Maudlin; sister, Betty (Clyde) Atkinson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie, on September 14, 1994.<br \/>\nMemorial contributions given in Mr. Maudlin&#8217;s name are suggested to McLaren Hospice or the American Cancer Society.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Ellen Marie Hubler<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/hubler_ellen.jpg\" alt=\"hubler_ellen\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-42373\" \/>Ellen Marie Hubler, 90 of Greenville, MI died on September 3, 2014 at Laurels of Carson City.  Ellen was born on July 19, 1924 in Brighton, MI the daughter of Lewis T. and Ruth K. (Dickerson) Neuendorf.  On October 7, 1944 she married John J. Hubler and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2013.   She retired from Simplified Bookkeeping in Lansing.  She and her husband retired and moved to Greenville in 1994.<br \/>\nShe is survived by her son David E. (Judy) Hubler of St. Johns; three grandchildren, Elizabeth A. (Todd) Torrey of Grand Rapids, Suzanne M. (Tom) Hollandsworth of Eaton Rapids and Rebecca C. (Kevin) Edelmann of Holt, MI: five great grandchildren, Tommy Hollandsworth, Tristan Hollandsworth, Ella Hollandsworth, Parker Edelmann and Olivia Edelmann; niece, Margrus (Jim) Kail and nephews, Richard (Debbie) Fauson and Dennis Fauson.  Ellen was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Fauson.<br \/>\nThe family will receive friends and relatives at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a> in St. Johns on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, 1:00 to 4:00 P.M.
