\nOn Nov 4th we have an opportunity to elect change in Michigan\u2019s Senate representation.
\nDuring Sen. Levin\u2019s 36 years as our senator, not once did he vote to protect the unborn, the ones who have no voice.
\nFor us, if government officials cannot protect the weakest among us, then they fail in their most basic duty. That is why we will vote for Terri Lynn Land.
\nMany issues clamor for our attention in the campaign ads \u2013 economy, taxes, education, etc.; but for us the starting point is the value of human life, and Terri Lynn Land\u2019s record passes that test.

Someone recently told me that he supported Mike Clarizio for District Judge because he’s a nice guy.
\nI worked in the Clinton County Prosecutor’s office; I agree–Mike’s nice. I disagree with that being a sole basis for casting a vote for someone in such an important role.
\nMike has practiced for 23 years solely in the criminal arena. That’s good for a judicial candidate, right? WRONG. District Court Judges hear many other case types–criminal is just one portion of those cases. District Judges also preside over civil litigation up to $25,000, foreclosures, garnishments, zoning, small claims and landlord\/tenant cases. Shannon Schlegel has experience in all of those areas as well as criminal law.
\nMike’s experience fell under the tutelage of an elected official for the last 23 years. That’s good for a judicial candidate, right? Wrong. Shannon is a self-starting entrepreneur. Shannon possesses critical skills such as personnel management, negotiation, communication, budgeting, and organization obtained by running her own law firm. We need a judge who is able to bring organization, business acumen, fiscal responsibility, energy and objectivity to the bench.
