The center is located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns and is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. Here are some of the things going on in April:<br \/>\n<strong>Euchre Tournaments \/ Trivia<\/strong><br \/>\nOn April 13 and 27 the Euchre Tournaments will be held from 1-3 pm. If you eat lunch at the center before cards the tournament is only $1. If you come just for the tournament it is $2. On April 6 and 20 the Euchre Tournaments will be held in the evening from 6:30-8:30 and everyone pays $2. On the 6th and 20th there will be a Trivia Contest from 1-3 &#8211; there is no cost to participate.<br \/>\n<strong>Bingo<\/strong><br \/>\nBingo will be held every Tuesday and Friday at 12:30 pm. The cost is only $1 and every player will walk away with 3-4 items. If you don&#8217;t play Bingo but would like to help out, you can become a Bingo Buddy and help one of the members that has difficulty playing on their own.<br \/>\n<strong>Monday Fundraising Lunch<\/strong><br \/>\nEvery Monday volunteers come in and cook a complete meal. This lunch is open to anyone of any age. The cost is only $5 for the full meal or $3 for a sandwich and chips. Meals in April include: Apr 6:Turkey Casserole; Apr 13:Tacos; Apr 20:Chicken and Apr 27:Pork Roast. Homemade pie is also available for only $1.50 a slice. Monday meals are served between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Take outs are available.<br \/>\n<strong>Senior Meals<\/strong><br \/>\nEvery Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday a nutritional meal is served at Noon for senior citizens. The meals are available for a suggested $3 donation. If you cannot afford the $3, you are not required to pay.<br \/>\n<strong>Speakers<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Monday, April 13 at 11 am a speaker will talk about how to cut sugar from your diet. Then on Wednesday, April 29 at 11 am a speaker will talk about all the things to think about that go into preparing your funeral. Please call to RSVP if you would like to sit in on these presentations.<br \/>\n<strong>April Day Trip<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Wednesday, April 15 the members of the Senior Center will take a trip to Soaring Eagle Casino. Anyone attending must register by Friday, April 10 so enough drivers can be arranged. The cost is $5 &#8211; that fee goes to the driver. If you are available to drive, please let us know.<br \/>\n<strong>April Garage Sale \/ Luncheon<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18 the Senior Center will hold a Garage Sale. They will have many unique items including lots of .25 and .50 things. If you would like to donate anything for their sale (no clothes please), drop things off at the center during their open hours. Their two Gift Shops will also be open those days with items discounted for the sale. On Saturday, April 18 they will also have a soup and sandwich luncheon you can purchase while at the sale and a Bake Sale.<br \/>\nIn addition to these activities senior citizens are always welcome to come in to use the Exercise Room, work on a puzzle, play other card or board games or just to socialize.<br \/>\nIf you don&#8217;t think you are old enough for the center, but want to support them in some way, come and check out all the great things they have in their 2 gift shops. The gift shops are open the hours the center is open. Or consider donating something they could use to make items for the gift shops.
