Schueller, Leola E. Gove, Geraldine Ruth Hawes, Joan M. Becker<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gertrude A. Schueller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/schueller_gertrude.jpg\" alt=\"schueller_gertrude\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-48561\" \/>Gertrude A. (Miller) Schueller, 95, of Jenison, Michigan, formerly of Fowler, Michigan passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. She retired from General Motors Alpine plant, where she met her best friend Lorilee Hull. The family would like to thank American House (formerly Oakcrest) Cottonwood Manor in Jenison for their loving care of mother for the last four years.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her sons and their families, Bill (Linn) Schueller of Jenison, Tim (Shirley) Schueller of New Hampton, Iowa; grandchildren Ross (Krista) Schueller, Brooke (Jason) Sikkema both of Jenison, Amanda Schueller of Iowa; great grandchildren Haley Schueller, Davis Schueller and Paige Sikkema; one sister Theresa (George) Fox of Lansing, several sister in laws and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Edith (Feldpausch) and Fredrick Miller of Fowler, and her husband Ronald Schueller.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be at the Goerge Chapel of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osgoodfuneralhomes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Osgood Funeral Homes<\/a> in Fowler Michigan on Friday July 24, 2015 at 9:30 to 11:30 with graveside services to follow officiated by Father John Klein.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Leola E. Gove<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/gove_leola.jpg\" alt=\"gove_leola\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-48559\" \/>Leola E. Gove died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the age of 90. She was born March 10, 1925 in Gratiot County, Michigan the daughter of William and Sarah (Roush) Keiser.  Leola was a member of the First Church of God where she was very active in several groups within the church, from teaching Sunday school to helping with funeral luncheons. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Drives and also volunteered during elections helping register voters. After graduation she was employed at the Gratiot County Court House. Leola also was an integral part of the family farming business she shared with her husband Maurice for more than 50 years. Leola retired from Clinton Memorial Hospital where she was an admitting clerk. On October 14, 1951 she married Maurice Gove and he preceded her in death in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving is a daughter, Connie (Jerry) Graham of Midland; two sons, Norman (Michelle) Gove of Ann Arbor and Alan Gove (Terri Sleep) of St. Johns; grandchildren, Sarah (Jason) Rowe, Jonathon (Katie) Myers, Jeremy (Jenna) Gove, Joshua Gove, Kellen Gove, Quinton Gove and Corinne Gove; great grandchildren, Talon Rowe, Taylor Rowe, Piper Rowe and Sloan Myers and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at First Church of God 1063 S. DeWitt Rd. St. Johns with Pastor Larry Cook officiating. Following Leola\u2019s wishes, a private committal service will be held after the funeral. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a>, St. Johns. Box 30480 Lansing, MI 48909.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Geraldine Ruth Hawes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/hawes_geraldine.jpg\" alt=\"hawes_geraldine\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-48556\" \/>Geraldine Ruth Hawes, age 99, of Owosso, formerly of Elsie, Michigan died Friday, July 17, 2015 at her &#8220;We Care&#8221; home.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral Services will be held at Duplain Church of Christ, St. Johns, Michigan on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Gary Hawes and Brad Hawes officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, Michigan and Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.<\/p>\n<p>Geraldine was born in Duplain Township, Michigan on November 29, 1915, the daughter of Russell Elmer and Blanche Lois (Cross) Ash. She resided most of her life in the Elsie area, moving to Owosso in 2012. On January 27, 1941 she married Jack Edward Hawes; Jack predeceased her on September 8, 2002. Geraldine taught school in Elsie and Bannister Schools and several one-room country schools in the area. She enjoyed traveling, scrap booking, writing and reading her Bible. She was a member of the Duplain Church of Christ, St. Johns, Michigan. She taught Sunday school and wrote prayer cards on behalf of her church.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by son Gary and Carole Hawes, granddaughters; Bethany and Matt Schantz, Becky and Shawn Hale, grandson Brad and Lynne Hawes, 10 great grandchildren; Caleb, Jacob, Savannah, Danny, Gabe, Zach, Ashlee, Josiah, Elle, Molly and 1 niece Lois Wade. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Jack, 2 sisters; Lucile Wade, Arlene Holden, 2 brothers; Larry and Bob Ash.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to Michigan Christian Campus Ministries or Duplain Church of Christ. The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/a> of Elsie, Michigan.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Joan M. Becker<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/becker_joan.jpg\" alt=\"becker_joan\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-48554\" \/>Joan M. Becker passed away July 16, 2015. She was born in Fowler on July 7, 1928, the daughter of Martin and Matilda (Thelen) Fox. Joan was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She married Luke E. Becker on November 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her children; Julia Becker of Portland, OR, Beth (Ronn) Thelen of Fowler, Yvonne (Francis) Perry of Nashville, TN, Guy Becker of Lansing, Gary (Judy) Becker of Pewamo, Mark (Laurie) Becker of Fowler and Robert (Sally) Becker of Fowler; 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Millie) Fox; brother-in-law, Clark (Sharon) Becker; sister-in-law, Elaine Fox and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by grandchildren Brooke Becker and Gavin Becker; sister, Grace Kaulfuss; brother, Gerald Fox and father-in-law and mother-in-law Frank and Eva Becker.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Monday, July 20, 2015 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 18 from 6\u20139pm with a Rosary at 6pm and Sunday, July 19 from 2\u20134pm and 6\u20139pm with a Rosary at 2pm and Vigil Service at 6pm at the Goerge Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes in Fowler.
