\"Mumsth\"Mum pre-sales now being accepted<\/p>\n

With a bundle of four fund raising events planned between now and year\u2019s end, members of Sparrow Clinton Hospital Auxiliary hope to reduce the balance on their outstanding pledge of $100,000 in support of the new emergency wing, which opened a little over one year ago.<\/p>\n

As they eye a total of $51,000 already paid, members expect to erode the balance with a schedule of activities ranging from a fall flower sale on September 12 to an Italian Pasta Buffet at Big Boy on September 30 to a purse bingo event that will bristle with a casino-like atmosphere on November 14. Then a final wrap up in early December with a shopping\/get away bus trip to Chicago on December 6-7. Specifics on these special projects remain in the planning and will be announced well in advance.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the initial effort happens almost immediately and lends itself to the spirit and activities of the autumn season.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a unique fall flower sale where mums are the featured blossom, adding color as summer winds down. But along with the vibrant mum plants a number of edible and decorative offerings will be on hand, including black eyed-susan, purple fountain grass, cabbage and kale. A selection of hanging plants will also be available.<\/p>\n

The sale will be held at the Wheel Inn restaurant from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. September 12 and pre-orders will be accepted at the hospital gift shop from now through Tuesday September 1.<\/p>\n

This opening event in the series of fund raisers is co-chaired by Kim Kellogg and Tammy Zuker.<\/p>\n

While details are finalized for each of the scheduled events, Auxiliary members will be hawking timely tickets and sales pitches to ensure information and details \u2013 along with reservations \u2013 are complete in advance of each date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
