The concert will take place on Friday, January 29th starting at 7 pm (doors open 6:30) in the historical Wilson Center Auditorium in St. Johns. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/indylite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/dondero.jpg\" alt=\"dondero\" width=\"400\" height=\"329\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1656\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/indylite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/dondero.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stjindy.com\/indylite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/dondero-300x247.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>David Dondero is a critically acclaimed folk singer\/songwriter who tours the country seemingly non-stop. &#8220;His calendar is full of performances from coast to coast,&#8221; says concert sponsor Aidan Pope. &#8220;We were extremely fortunate to be able to book him into our St. Johns venue.&#8221; In 2006 NPR&#8217;s Bob Boilen credits Dondero as being one of &#8220;the best living songwriters&#8221; alongside Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Tom Waits. Other critics are saying, &#8220;Dondero is a brilliant storyteller and poet. His searching melodies and distinctive voice are heartbreakingly beautiful and uplifting,&#8221; along with &#8220;David has shown a remarkable ability to capture the heart of America in his songs.&#8221; In addition to his solo concerts, David has toured with bands such as Bright Eyes, The Mountain Goats, Against Me!, and Spoon, among others. <\/p>\n<p>The indie-folk band &#8220;Lucy&#8221; will open the evening&#8217;s rock event. Members of &#8220;Lucy&#8221; are MSU students and include Michael Gertstein on guitar and vocals, Josh Moyer on guitar, Cody Peterson on drums, and Dusty Robertson on bass. Next up will be the folk rock band &#8220;The American Automobile&#8221; consisting of St. Johns High School students Aidan Pope on guitar and vocals, and Abram McCluer on drums, along with SJHS alumni Nathan Elliott-Smith on guitar and bass.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a $7 admission charge. The Wilson Center Auditorium is located at 101 W. The changes in farming methods and advancements in farm machinery over the last hundred years has been truly phenomenal, and with your help, your family farm can be part of an interesting and educational exhibit showing what life was like on a Clinton County farm many years ago.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/indylite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/farm.jpg\" alt=\"farm\" width=\"400\" height=\"320\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1659\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/indylite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/farm.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stjindy.com\/indylite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/farm-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They are looking for early Clinton County farm related photos. Field scenes with horses or early tractors, the milk truck that picked up your canned milk, your old sawmill, mint still or photos of maple sugar operations are just a few examples. <\/p>\n<p>They can scan your photos, so you can keep the originals. This should give you time to gather all the information you need and to get immunizations up to date, if need be. Please park and enter through the doors at the front of the SJHS Auditorium on the north side of the building.
