Update on Eagle Twp Supervisor Patti Schafer’s recall

Judge Barkman, of the 29th Circuit Court for Clinton County, issued her ruling on Supervisor Schafer’s appeal of the approval of the recall petition language.

The Opinion and Order was 5 pages, addressing each argument of the appeal, but ultimately the conclusion read:
“Therefore for the reason stated in the above Opinion, upon de novo review, this Court will uphold the decision of the Commission to approve the recall language submitted in support of recalling Schafer. Therefore, Schafer’s request for relief is denied.”

This is a step in the right direction for the residents of Eagle Township who hope to elect someone else who will represent their voices.

Signatures for the petition have already been turned in and validated by the township. They are now in the process of being validated at the county.
