Christmas Celebration at the Museum continues December 17

Enjoy the music of Jeff Richards and Friends while experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional Victorian Christmas on Sunday, December 17 from 2 – 4 p.m.
The Clinton County Historical Museum is located in the Paine Gillam Scott House, 106 Maple on the west side of the courthouse square.
Don’t miss the Oak Street Holiday Lights Trail
The Oak Street Holiday Lights Trail at 202 E Oak St. will be running every weekend in December, weather permitting.
Every weekend they will run on Friday and Saturday, December 8, 9,1 5, 16 and 22 from 6:30-8:45 p.m. at the same time.
This is a free event for the community. All that they ask is that you sign a waiver because this is on personal property. The waiver table will be open until 8:30 p.m.
There is no public restroom so please be prepared for that, but the line does move fast so it’s not too long of a wait. All ages are welcome.

Buy it for the calendar; keep it for the vintage photos.
Help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Clinton County Historical Society
The Clinton County Historical Society was established in 1974. To begin the celebration they have collected vintage photographs from around the county to illustrate a 2024 calendar.
Beyond its practical use, the calendar will make a great souvenir or gift. It is now available.
Calendars are available for purchase at the Clinton County Historical Museum located in the Paine-Gillam-Scott House, 106 Maple and Trek Power Equipment, 510 N. Lansing St.in St. Johns. Local author offers signed books for Christmas
Signed books are so special for the holidays. And Janet Halfmann says that she would be happy to sign books from afar.
Just send her a private Facebook message or contact her through her website with the book(s) you’re gifting, to whom you’d like them personalized, and contact info, and she says she will mail free signed personalized stickers to put in the book(s).
Second Cup Cafe open Monday through Friday
The Second Cup Cafe located in the Clinton County RESA Bldg., 1013 Old US-27 in St. Johns is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Cafe supports young adults in the Transitions Classroom.
They are selling at $1.50 each Big cookies: NoBakes, Monster, Chocolate Scotcharoos, Molasses, Oatmeal-Raisin, Brownies, Soft Pretzels and cheese dipping sauce, Bagels, Coffee and Tea. They also have lots of assorted decorations. Come and support these hard working students.
