Seibert<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/seibert_david2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1144\" \/>David C. Seibert died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born January 31, 1937 in St. Johns, MI the son of Albert \u201cBud\u201d and Marjorie (Sheldon) Seibert.  David was an Army veteran, a member of AM Vets and American Legion Post #153 in St. Johns. He was a member of St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church and enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions looking for antiques.  In 1989 he retired from General Motors with over 30 years of service. On July 27, 1974 he married Anneliese \u201cAnna\u201d Krenn and she survives him.<\/p>\n<p>Also surviving are his children, Angie (Kurt) Ramsay, Ken (Brenda) Barber, Bob (Janell) Barber and Delynn Reist (Mike VanEtten); eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Sylvia Outlaw and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Charlie and Dan Seibert and a sister, Kathleen McGeachie.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 11, 2018 at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church 511 E. Sturgis St. with Pastor Martin Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery with military honors provided by the St. Johns Honor Guard. The family will receive relatives and friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns. Memorials may be made to the Marjorie Seibert Scholarship Fund at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church 511 E. Sturgis St. St. Johns, MI 48879.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gaylord B. Craig<\/strong> service<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Craig_Gaylord.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-546\" \/>Gaylord B. Craig died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born December 12, 1932 and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving is a daughter, Holly (Ryan) Wheeler; a son, Dwight &#8220;Rocky&#8221; (Michelle) Craig; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Shirley) Craig and a sister, Carol Barton.<\/p>\n<p>Following Gaylord&#8217;s wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Union Home Cemetery with Karen Messmer officiating and military honors provided by the St. Johns Honor Guard.<\/p>\n<p>The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/?p=568\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">A full obituary can be found here<\/font><\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Robert William Spencer<\/strong> service<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/spencer_robert.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1089\" \/>Robert William (Bob) Spencer, 83, of St. Johns, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 1, 2017. Bob graduated from Ionia High School in 1952. He and his wife Shirley (Risser) Spencer were married in 1953 and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2018 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns with Pastor Rick Foster officiating. Memorials may be made to the St. Johns High School Athletic Hall of Fame or a charity of donor&#8217;s choice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/miserybay.usanethosting.com\/indylite\/archives\/8273\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">A full obituary can be found here<\/font><\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Donald Ray Plaxton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/plaxton_donald.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1084\" \/>Don Plaxton, age 81 of St. Johns passed away at his home on Friday, June 1, 2018.  Don was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on February 11, 1937 the son of Art and Elsie (Eastman) Plaxton.  He graduated from St. Louis High School in 1954.Don married Ginny Franks on April 7, 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Hawaii.  Don worked for the Alma Police Department, Gratiot County Sheriff&#8217;s Department and finished his career with 29 years of service in Security at Dow Chemical in Midland.<\/p>\n<p>Don enjoyed walks and drives, feeding and watching wildlife, and making things such as bird feeders, wooden toys, and potato guns in his shop.  He liked to make people happy, either through small gifts, sharing humorous stories, or playing practical jokes.  He and Ginny enjoyed listening to music, and met many friends over the years through local jam sessions.  Family and friends were a great source of pride.  Among his favorite events was Coyote Count, an ongoing annual father\/son\/grandson weekend in the northern Michigan woods, which he started over 25 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Don is survived by his wife: Ginny of 61 years; children: Scott (Terry) Plaxton of Pickerington, OH, Carol (Randy) Tepatti of Statesboro, GA, and Shel (Sarah) Plaxton of Highland, MI; grandchildren: Melissa (Justin) Bedtelyon of Rose City MI, Grant (Andrea) Plaxton of Holt, MI, Chris (Tina) Tepatti of Charleston, SC, Zachary Plaxton of Clawson, MI, Breanna Plaxton, of Highland, MI, and Kaley Plaxton, of Highland, MI; great-grandchildren: Connor, Alayna, Darcy, Kate and Violet Bedtelyon.  He is also survived by brothers and sisters: Lois (Clare) Myers of Shepherd, MI, Sharon Dryden of Standish, MI, Peggy (Mike) Blouch of Sidney, MI, Sally (Richard) Miller of DeWitt, MI, Jerry (Ginny) Plaxton of Lansing, MI, and Jack (Pat) Plaxton, of Breckenridge also many nieces and nephews.  Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Roger Plaxton at a young age.<\/p>\n<p>A celebration of his life for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Riley Township Hall 7110 W. Pratt Road, DeWitt, MI 48820 located on the corner of Francis and Pratt Roads from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., with a brief time of sharing at 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Don requested no memorials &#8211; just do a kind deed for someone.
