Fr. Dennis Howard presiding and Rev. Fr. Mathias Thelen will preach the eulogy.  Burial will follow at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Dick was born in St. Johns, MI on May 15, 1950, the son of John and Germaine (Thelen) Rehmann. He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School with the class of 1969. On June 23, 1973, Dick married Debra &#8220;Debbie&#8221; Ann Fedewa at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler. They were blessed with 47 years of marriage, 5 children, and 17 grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Dick served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a corrections officer for the State of Michigan for 21 years and drove school bus for Fowler Public Schools for many years. Dick was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.<\/p>\n<p>Dick liked to travel all over the country visiting national parks and historical sites. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and snowmobile. Dick was a devoted husband and adored his wife. He loved his family and his greatest joy was spending time with them.<\/p>\n<p>Dick is survived by his wife Debbie, 5 children: Michael Rehmann of Middleton, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Rehmann of Westphalia, Kenneth (Kathryn) Rehmann of Fowler, Jennifer (Aaron) Stoudt of Marquette, and Brian (Becky) Rehmann of Fowler; 17 grandchildren: Nathan, Andrew, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Jacob and Matthew Rehmann; Sydney, Mason, Bryce, and Ashlyn Rehmann; Emerson and Ellis Stoudt; Michaela, Olivia, William, Ethan, and Katherine Rehmann. He is also survived by 7 siblings: Karen (George) Baxter, James (Robyn) Rehmann, Robert (Susan) Rehmann, Mary Beth (Kenneth) Baese, Gery (Sheila) Rehmann, Daniel (Myra) Rehmann, and Jane (Steven) Cleland. The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/font><\/a> &#8211; Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/strickland_eileen.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11500\" \/><strong>Eileen Marguerite Strickland<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eileen Marguerite Strickland was born on October 17, 1946 and passed away on February 16, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>She is under the care of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dignitymemorial.com\/funeral-homes\/scottsdale-az\/green-acres-mortuary-cemetery\/2107\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Green Acres Mortuary &#038; Cemetery<\/font><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Fredrick Schieding Jr.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/shieding_frederick.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11495\" \/>Fredrick Schieding died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on February 12, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 80 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Fredrick was born on November 11, 1940 to Fredrick L. and Myrtle (Monk) Schieding in Newberry and moved to Lansing as a teenager. He worked as a Press Operator for Motor Wheel for 30 years. During his life, Fred enjoyed going to the casino, golfing, and bowling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.<\/p>\n<p>Fredrick is survived by his daughter, Kristina Garner; sons, Kurt (Beth) Schieding and Jeff (Julia) Schieding; grandchildren, Travis Garner, Timmy Schieding, Emma Schieding, Joey Schieding, Shannon Abbott and Ashley (Teddy) Bodien; two great grandchildren, Sadie and Maximus Bodien; and two sisters, Peggy Schieding and Kathy Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Jimmy Bergman and Kenny Schieding.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial services are being planned to be held in Newberry, Michigan later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgeehanfh.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">McGeehan Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, Keck-Coleman Chapel, St. Johns.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Marlene K. Peterson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/peterson_marlene.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11490\" \/>Marlene K. Peterson, age 82 of Jackson passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Vista Grande Villa.<\/p>\n<p>Private family services will be held with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcgeehanfh.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">McGeehan Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, Keck-Coleman Chapel. Interment will take place at Mount Rest Cemetery in St Johns.<\/p>\n<p>Marlene was born on January 25, 1939 to Herbert and Olga (McPrangle) Witt in St. Johns. She married Eric V. Peterson on June 17, 1961 in St. Johns. They celebrated 59 years of marriage last year.<\/p>\n<p>Marlene earned her Bachelor&#8217;s degree from Michigan State University in 1959. She began her career as a high school teacher in Warren, Michigan. One day at work she met a handsome new history teacher named Eric who become the love of her life. The young couple had two sons and moved to DeWitt to be closer to family. She later worked as an instructor at Lansing Community College for many years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lansing.<\/p>\n<p>Marlene had many lifelong friends, going back to childhood in St. Johns and college at MSU. She loved to travel and experience new places. She enjoyed spending time with Eric and other family at Houghton Lake. She loved to go shopping. Mostly, she loved her husband and two sons. The joy of her life was knowing that her sons were happy, successful, and close friends with each other. As she went on the final, difficult journey that was Parkinson&#8217;s, she knew she was not alone in her struggle. Even when she could no longer speak, her eyes lit up with happiness when she saw her loved ones. She exemplified a loving wife, caring mother, and faithful friend.<\/p>\n<p>Marlene is survived by her husband, Eric Peterson; her sons, Michael Peterson of Los Angeles and Mark Peterson of Eaton Rapids; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and David; and her sister, Mary Whitlock of Adrian.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Donald John Feldpausch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/feldpausch_donald.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11482\" \/>Donald John Feldpausch, age 84, of Fowler, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard officiating.  Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, MI at a later date. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI.  Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Donald was born in Fowler, MI on October 8, 1936, the son of Sylvester and Odelia (Lenneman) Feldpausch. Don graduated from Fowler High School. On September 23, 1959 he married Joann Pauline Simon in Westphalia, MI.<\/p>\n<p>Don retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. He enjoyed wood carving and gave several pieces to his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing trips and deer camp with his brothers, sons, nephews and friends. He loved camping trips with his family and enjoyed making his famous breakfast over the campfire. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don enjoyed visiting with people and anywhere he went he ran into someone he knew. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Fowler VFW. Don proudly served his country in the United States Army as a medic assistant during the Korean War.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife Joann, children: Dennis and Kathy Feldpausch, Keith and Deb Feldpausch, Carol and Rich Klein, and Mark and Rebecca Feldpausch, grandchildren: Garret, Gavin, Kara, Nicole, Brandi, Sandra, Kyle, Katelyn, Lauren, Andrea, Ryan, Alyssa, Brennan, Caidan, and Owen, and great-grandchildren: Adam, Nolie, Noah, Lucy, Liam, Alaina, Jace, Sage, Olivia, Hunter, Arthur, and Natalia. He is also survived by his siblings: Claude and Cecile Feldpausch, Alvin and Janice Feldpausch, Neil and Rosie Feldpausch, Edward and Mary Feldpausch, Larry and Regina Feldpausch, Ronald and Lois Feldpausch, Eugene and Kathy Feldpausch, Mary Jane and Kenneth Fedewa, Helen and Chuck Smith, Irene and Bruce Pline, Betty and Bill Wirth, sister in law Fay Feldpausch and many nieces and nephews.
