Please take a minute to express thanks for her years of service.<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber is formulating a job description and will be posting a position soon. In the meantime if you need any help please reach out to a board member.<\/p>\n<p>Board Member Jason Denovich at New Look Computer and Data will be answering the phone and can be available to meet you for any of your immediate needs. They have many changes coming soon, so please stay tuned.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Directors includes:<br \/>\nGlen Pung (Board President)<br \/>\nSteve Bassette<br \/>\nSue Strahle<br \/>\nJoe Rewerts<br \/>\nNan Simons<br \/>\nEric Root<br \/>\nJason Denovich<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Elsie man fatally injured east of St. Johns<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On January 18, 2022 at 7:20 a.m. the Clinton County Sheriff\u2019s Office was dispatched to a 3 vehicle injury traffic crash on M-21 just west of the US 127 interchange in Bingham Township.<\/p>\n<p>A passenger vehicle driven by Beronica Duttenhaver, age 20, of Maple Rapids was exiting the MDOT parking lot to pull out onto M-21 and stopped in the roadway due to traffic. She was then struck by westbound pickup truck driven by Zachary Miller, age 20, of Elsie.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23006\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/newindy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/miller_zachary.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" \/>After the initial crash all occupants were sharing information checking for injuries. A westbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old from Ovid struck two of the individuals in the roadway. One was a bystander with minor injuries, and the second was Miller.<\/p>\n<p>Miller was unresponsive at the scene and transported to Sparrow Clinton where he passed away from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The traffic crash remains under investigation. The Clinton County Sheriff\u2019s Office was assisted by St. Johns Police, St. Johns Fire and Rescue, Clinton Area Ambulance and Clinton County Central Dispatch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/?p=14709\"><span style=\"color: #0000cc;\">See Zachary Miller&#8217;s obituary here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Basic Needs accepting food and clothing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Basic Needs Center, a local food pantry and more, is accepting all kinds of not expired foods and children\u2019s clothing. Clean our your pantry and kids&#8217; closets.<\/p>\n<p>They are located at 213 N Clinton Avenue in St. Johns on Tuesdays and Thursdays.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>SJHS Theatre presents public performance on January 29<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are now on sale for the public performance of <em>Dearly Departed<\/em> and <em>Drowning Girls<\/em> on January 29 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $10 for Adults, and K-12 Student tickets are available for $7 using code SJStudent2022. Each show is 45 minutes with a 15 minute intermission between the shows. <a href=\"http:\/\/sjdrama.ludus.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000cc;\">sjdrama.ludus.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Legion to host breakfast on January 29<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>American Legion Post 153 will host a Prime Rib For Breakfast on Saturday, January 29 featuring steak and eggs from 8 a.m. \u2013 noon or until gone.<\/p>\n<p>Breakfast includes prime rib steak, eggs -any style, hash browns,orange juice and coffee for $10.00<\/p>\n<p>Bloody Mary and Mimosa Specials too.<\/p>\n<p>The hall is located at 110 E. Walker St. in St. Johns. Proceeds benefit the 8th District Leadership Development Fund.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Household batteries can be recycled<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\nThe Recycling Program<\/em><br \/>\nLead acid batteries from autos, lawn mowers, etc. are collected for free by Bee\u2019s Sports located on 2138 S.
