Need a little exercise?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are a senior citizen and need a place to get in a little exercise, stop in at the Clinton County Senior Center located at 201 E Walker Street in St. Johns.<\/p>\n

There is no fee to use the equipment. The Center is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Center is closed when St. Johns Public Schools are closed due to bad weather.<\/p>\n

New Chamber Bucks Card introduced<\/strong><\/p>\n

The St. Johns Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the new digital Chamber Bucks Card a community-based digital gift card that makes it fun and easy to keep local spending local.<\/p>\n

Purchase a E-Card to use at any of the participating shops in the neighborhood. With this card you can write a personal message and send it to family, friends and colleagues via email, text or physical copy.<\/p>\n

Recipients can choose to spend it at one of 179 (and growing) participating merchants in the St. Johns Area, or mix it up and spend flexibly at multiple locations.<\/p>\n

All-digital and always available on your phone, the Chamber Bucks Gift Card is great for birthdays, holidays, teacher appreciation, coach gifts, or just to show your appreciation to a friend. Scouts schedule pop can drive February 19<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scout Troop 72 of St. Johns is doing a pop can drive on February 19 from 1-3 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall.<\/p>\n

They are trying to raise money for camps and other Scouting activities.<\/p>\n

The hall is located at 1108 N. Business 27 in St Johns.<\/p>\n

If you are in need of a KN95 face mask, you can pick one up free-of-charge at the following locations:<\/p>\n

Mark your calendar<\/strong> – Spring clean-up<\/p>\n

The City of St. Johns Spring Clean-Up is set for Saturday, May 7, 2022. Please do not place items out to the curb prior to Saturday, April 30.<\/p>\n

Items must be placed out by 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7. Items placed after the contractor has passed will not be picked up.<\/p>\n

Clean-up is limited to 3 cubic yards of material (approx. the size of a regular pick-up truck box). Pickers be courteous and keep areas tidy. Do not leave a mess!<\/p>\n

This is available for city residents who live in a one to four unit dwelling. A refuse fee is applied to the summer tax bill to pay for this service. Any non-resident placing refuse illegally is subject to a $500 fine.<\/p>\n
