The Sault Ste. Marie is a sleeper car, built in 1902 and the Railroad Post Office car was built in 1903. Both are a key part of railroad history in this country.

Schwan’s Cares helps non-profit organizations, in this case the Clinton County Arts Council, of which CNR is a branch, to raise money by donating a percentage of sales over a number of weeks.

This fundraiser under Schwan’s Cares is called CNR Railcar Restoration. Food can be ordered on line at schwans-cares.com/c/43354, then click “Shop Now;” or by phone at 1-855-870-7208. The campaign ID is 43354.

The Railcar Restoration Project will receive 20% of the value of all orders placed in either way as long as the ID number is included until the end of December. After that, there will still be a percentage contributed, but it will be a lower percentage. The food will be delivered to your home, of course.

Even better for the rail cars, any gift cards for Schwan’s goods bought through the end of December using the process described above will yield 40% of the value to the Railcar Restoration Project.

Happy shopping and gift-giving.

Relay For Life Of Clinton County Kick Off is November 27

The Relay For Life Of Clinton County Kick Off will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at AgroLiquid, 3055 M-21-St. Johns.

Relay is community driven fundraising walk where individuals and teams of friends, family and colleagues celebrate cancer survivors, remember those we have lost to cancer, and fight back by raising money and awareness in the fight against cancer.
