{"id":2931,"date":"2018-11-29T20:56:55","date_gmt":"2018-11-30T01:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/?p=2931"},"modified":"2018-11-29T20:56:55","modified_gmt":"2018-11-30T01:56:55","slug":"transitions-40","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/newindy\/?p=2931","title":{"rendered":"Transitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Obituaries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Georgia Loy Savage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Georgia Loy Savage, age 76 of St. Johns, MI passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Sparrow Clinton Hospital, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor David Leisman officiating.  Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Delta Township, MI.  Visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 3-7 P.M. at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia was born in Sturgis, MI on February 20, 1942 the daughter of David and Lizzie Grace (Hahn) Christensen.   Georgia married Norman on October 24, 1964 in Lansing, MI.  She resided most of her life in DeWitt. Georgia loved her family first and foremost.  She enjoyed doing ceramics and painting.  Christmas was her favorite time of the year.  She will be remembered for her giving and loving heart.  She was diagnosed with type I diabetes at the age of three and conquered diabetes for 73 years.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her husband Norman Savage of St. Johns, MI; daughter Cyndy Savage of Holt, MI; daughter Pam and George Millben of Gold Canyon, AZ; son Ryan and Misha Savage of Owosso, MI; daughter Nichole Savage of St. Johns, MI; son Todd and Michelle Savage of St. Johns, MI; 6 grandchildren: Tiffany Payne, Ashlee VanZee, Austin VanZee, Autumn VanZee, Ava Savage, and Addisyn Savage; and brother Dwayne and Nancy Christensen of St. Johns, MI.  Georgia is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends including her lifelong friend Judy Tomlian.  Georgia was preceded in death by her parents.<\/p>\n<p>     Georgia&#8217;s family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Beal and the nurses at Sparrow Clinton Hospital for their compassion and care. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/font><\/a> &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Dolores Catherine Schueller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/schueller_dolores.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2893\" \/>Dolores Catherine (Simon) Schueller, age 89, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Country Living AFC Home, Portland, MI.<\/p>\n<p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard officiating.  Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, MI.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and also on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI. Rosaries will be prayed on both Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 P.M at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Dolores was born in Westphalia, MI on February 8, 1929, the daughter of Frederick and Dorthea (Thelen) Feldpausch. She married Bernard A. Simon on March 27, 1951; he passed away on March 15, 1971. She married Bernard Schueller on August 14, 1976; he passed away April 20, 1990.<\/p>\n<p>She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles and crocheting. Dolores spent countless hours maintaining scrapbook records of local events. Most of all she loved the time spent with her family. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Christian Mothers Association.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her children: Sharon (Thomas) Hall of Round Lake, IL; Alan Simon of St. Johns, MI; Glenn (Laureen) Simon of Fowler, MI; Lyle Simon of St. Johns, MI; Audrey (Kevin) Feldpausch of Westphalia, MI; Wayne (Jayne) Simon of Charlotte, NC; brothers: Jerome Feldpausch and Francis (Marie) Feldpausch; sisters in law: Regina Feldpausch, Anna Feldpausch, Frances Thelen, Regina (Harold) Simon, Joan Simon, Bernadine Martin, grandchildren: Rebecca Caswell, Jeslane Holmes, Victoria Holmes, Lisa Werner, Bernard Simon, Brian Simon, Laura Johnson, Eric Simon, Matthew Simon, Brent Feldpausch, Melanie Spitzley, Paige Feldpausch, Staci Feldpausch, Alex Simon, Nicholas Simon, and 15 great grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, granddaughter Jennifer Simon, 3 brothers: Elmer, Marvin, and Hilary and many in laws.<\/p>\n<p>The family would like to express a special thanks to Jodi Simon, the staff at Country Living AFC and Hospice of Lansing for the wonderful care they provided to our mother.
