{"id":3282,"date":"2019-01-03T20:56:53","date_gmt":"2019-01-04T01:56:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/?p=3282"},"modified":"2019-01-03T20:56:53","modified_gmt":"2019-01-04T01:56:53","slug":"transitions-44","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/newindy\/?p=3282","title":{"rendered":"Transitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Obituaries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Brendan John Green<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/green_brendan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3291\" \/>Dr. Brendan John Green, 38, of San Diego, CA passed away on December 19, 2018 in Binghamton, NY. Brendan was born in Grand Rapids, MI on October 16, 1980 and attended grade school at Immaculate Heart of Mary. He graduated from the University of San Diego High School and California State University San Marcos with a degree in biotechnology. Brendan studied medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL, graduating as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Brendan thoroughly enjoyed the medical field. His inquisitive nature led him from biotech research to osteopathic medicine, always with a goal of helping others. He was a beautiful person with an incredibly kind soul who very much loved his family. His son, Dylan, brought out the inner child in him and it was a joy to watch their special bond. Brendan now rests in peace in God&#8217;s love, and he will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.<\/p>\n<p>Brendan is survived by his three year-old son, Dylan Timothy Green, his parents, Terence and Mary Lou Green of Carlsbad, CA, and his siblings Michael (Colleen) Green of Vista, CA and Erin Green of Kathmandu, Nepal.<\/p>\n<p>A funeral Mass and internment will be held at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, CA on January 11 at 1:30 p.m. Friends and family are welcome. A reception at the Mission will follow immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Medical Education Resiliency Fund at Children&#8217;s Hospital Los Angeles to support medical professionals, and their families, as they deal with stresses encountered caring for their patients. Tiedt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/tiedt_janet.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3246\" \/>Janet M. Tiedt died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born August 12, 1937 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Fred H. and Esther (Fischer) Tiedt. Janet was a graduate of Fowler High School, Class of 1955 and continued her education at Lansing Business University.<\/p>\n<p>Janet was an active member of several church and civic organizations. She is a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fowler, serving as the financial secretary for the church council for several years.  Janet served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Ladies Aide group. She served as Secretary for the Lutheran Women\u2019s Missionary League and as a member of the Lutheran Children Family Services Auxiliary she served as President and Vice President of both the state and local auxiliary.  Janet\u2019s interest in genealogy, lead her to be a member of the Clinton County Historical Society, serving as genealogist, secretary and treasurer. She was a member of the Paine-Gilliam-Scott Museum Advisory Board and is a Past Chairperson for the Clinton County Historical Commission. She is a life member of Alpha Iota Sorority, a former member of the Lansing Women\u2019s Bowling Association, was a volunteer at Clinton Memorial Hospital (Sparrow Clinton Hospital) was a member of the St. Johns Camera Club where she served as treasurer and also a member of the Owosso Camera Club.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving is a brother, Fred K. and wife Victoria Tiedt of Gig Harbor, WA; two nephews, Frederick \u201cScott\u201d Tiedt of Johnston, IA, Brian Tiedt of Denver, CO; great nieces, Alana and Juliet DelRegato; great nephew, Frederick DelRegato and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 329 N. Sorrell, Fowler with Pastor Paul Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery in St. Johns. The family will receive relatives and friends 2 &#8211; 4 and 6 &#8211; 8 PM Thursday at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bill Cox<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/cox_bill.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3244\" \/>Bill Cox, age 79 passed away at Hazel Findlay Country Manor on Friday, December 28, 2018.  Bill was born on June 22, 1939 in Ovid, MI the son of William T. and Genevieve (West) Cox.  He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson in St. Johns and worked at General Motors for over 30 years.  On May 26, 2004 he married Janet Carroll in St. Johns.  Bill loved reading about history, puttering in the garage, gardening, hunting and fishing.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Janet, son Jeff (Cheryl) Cox of Manistique, MI, daughters Jane (Larry) Zieff of Flower Mound, Texas, and Lisa Cox of Lansing.  Grandchildren, Tyler and Megan Cox and Alec Zieff.  Nieces Becky Faoro of Muskegon and Debra Most of St. Johns. Brother John (Barb) Cox of St. Johns and special friend, Eric Most of St. Johns.<\/p>\n<p>At Bill&#8217;s request there will be no services.
