Bush<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/bush_rick2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3350\" \/>Rick L. Bush, age 62 passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 12, 1956 in St. Johns, MI the son of Wesley J. and Margaret (Serrels) Bush.  Rick graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School in 1974 and on April 21, 1979 he married Evelyn Fields.  Rick had worked at Motor Wheel, Federal Mogul and later in HVAC.  He was recently retired and enjoyed hunting, wood working and playing cards in his pole barn with friends.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, son Wesley (Jamie) Bush of Grand Rapids and grand dog, Sophie; Brothers, Ron (Regina) Bush of Ovid, Larry (Barb) Bush of Bannister and sister Sheila (Vic) Lambert of Stockbridge;  Sisters in law, Julie Bush of Rosebush, Monica (Kent) Hoskins of Ovid, and Brenda (Scott) Young of St. Johns, also mother in law Hedy Rose of St. Johns. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wesley Bush and brother in law, Richard Fields.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a> on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Andy Croel officiating. Burial will follow at Ford Cemetery in Elsie.  The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Friday, January 11, 2019, 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor&#8217;s choice.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Israel Beaufore Vaz de Almeida<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/DeAlmeida_israel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3304\" \/>Israel Beaufore Vaz de Almeida, age 38 of St. Johns, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Visiting with family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1-4 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<p>Israel was born in Jaboticabal, Sao Paulo, Brazil on July 12, 1980 the son of Miqueias Vaz de Almeida and Cindra June Beaufore.  Israel resided in St. Johns from the age of 4 and was a graduate of St. Johns High School.<\/p>\n<p>He worked for Mahle Engine Components for over 20 years where he started out as a machine operator and worked his way to being a Process Engineer.  Israel traveled for work and pleasure.  He traveled back to his native Brazil many times on company business.  He also traveled to Portugal, Japan, Spain, Mexico and Italy on business. He was able to visit his beloved Brazilian grandmother, father, uncles, aunts and cousins on two personal trips.<\/p>\n<p>Israel was dedicated to his career and had a high mechanical aptitude.  He was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Conservation Club.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his daughter Audrey de Almeida and her fianc\u00e9 Anthony Sleep of St. Johns, MI; daughter Kiersten de Almeida of St. Johns, MI; mother Cindra Beaufore and Dennis Seidl of Jackson, MI; father Miqueias Vaz de Almeida of Jaboticabal, Sao Paulo, Brazil; sister Melanie McDonnell of Grand Rapids, MI; brother Isaac and Makailey de Almeida, of St. Johns, MI; brother Evan de Almeida of Lansing, MI; grandfather Darwin Beaufore of Owosso, MI; mother of his children Sue de Almeida of St. Johns, MI; girlfriend Angele James of Saline, MI. Israel is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Brigit, Jonah, Michael, Zach, Nicole, and Charleigh also many aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and Brazil.  Israel was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hila Beaufore, Barthimeu Vaz de Almeida and Eunice de Freitas de Almeida and his nephew Matt McDonnell.<\/p>\n<p>The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/font><\/a> &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Robert M. Jakeway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Robert M. Jakeway, age 94, of Grand Haven, formerly of St. Johns, MI passed away Friday, December 21, 2018, in Grand Haven MI.<\/p>\n<p>A Graveside Memorial Service was held at South Bingham Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. on Friday, January 4, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Robert was born in Laingsburg, MI on August 5, 1924, the son of George A. and Goldie (O&#8217;Neil) Jakeway.  He married Louisa Neller on February 24, 1945. They celebrated 46 years of marriage before she passed away on April 24, 1991.<\/p>\n<p>Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II.  He was a member of IBW Union Local #665 and was a retired electrician from Barker Fowler Electric in Lansing, MI.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his daughter Kay and Robert Argersinger of Lansing, MI; 3 sons: Robert M. and Sandra Jakeway Jr. of Lansing, MI; Wayne and Sandra Jakeway of Odessa, FL; Daniel and Joann Jakeway of St. Petersburg, FL; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Wade and Betty Jakeway of FL; Roy and Edith Jakeway of Lake City, MI; and sister Janis of Laingsburg, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Janet Smith, and 8 brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n<p>The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/font><\/a> &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>William Alan Pearson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/pearson_william.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3298\" \/>William Alan \u201cBill\u201d Pearson, age 59, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Mother Teresa House, Lansing, MI.<\/p>\n<p>A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Charles Krueger officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.<\/p>\n<p>Bill was born in Lansing, MI on July 29, 1959, the son of William and Ruth (Platte) Pearson.  Bill graduated from DeWitt High School with the class of 1977.  He then earned an associates degree in Electrical Engineering from Ferris State University.  He worked as a machinist until his retirement in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Bill married Colleen Pearson on April 8, 2003 at The Chapel at the Park in Gatlinburg, TN. Bill was an avid fisherman and small game hunter.  He loved back woods camping.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Bill is survived by his wife Colleen of St. Johns, 3 children: Ashleigh (Wayne) Meadows of North Carolina, Roger Tutton II of Virginia, and Matthew Pearson of St. Johns; and 2 granddaughters: Ravenlily and Adie.  He is also survived by siblings: Debbie (Dave) Barratt, Tom (Liz) Pearson, Linda (Garry) Sullivan, Chris (fianc\u00e9 Ron Becher) Stehlik, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Alan Stehlik.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
