It was very impressive with the amount of space the new one gives them. A lot of excitement was felt by the police staff regarding the new space.

There are two locker rooms for the men an women whereas the old station only had one. There is also a separate room for all paperwork, a nice kitchen area, the Chief’s office and a room for answering the phones.

Congratulations on your move, and I’m sure it will serve the Community well. The old station will be used as a possible Parks and Recreation Office. An open house for the community is being planned.

The phones are now active at the new office. Officers are available all week via Central Dispatch at 911. Parking tickets can be paid online at https://www.govpaynow.com/gps/user/. Our pay location code is #8360. The drop box at the new location is functional, so you can also drop them in there.

Museum wants your Soap Box Derby photos

The Clinton County Historical Museum, located just west of the courthouse, is looking for photos and documents relating to the Soap Box Derby that was held in St. Johns in the 1960s and 70s.

They will have a year long display celebrating the return of the Soap Box Derby to St. Johns and would like to use your photo in the display.
