SJACF Annual Meeting is May 9<\/strong><\/p>\n

You are invited to the Annual St. Johns Area Community Fund Community Meeting on May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Emerald Golf Course.<\/p>\n

Superhero event is Saturday, April 27<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 6th Annual Superhero 5K Run, Walk, or Fly is this Saturday, April 27th. If you have not registered, there is still time.<\/p>\n

If you didn’t make it to pick up your Superhero gear, they will have everything at the St. Johns City Park on Saturday. Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. Online Registration<\/span><\/a> ends April 26, 2019 at 11:59pm EDT.<\/p>\n

There are 2 start times, one for Runners (9:30 a.m.) and one for Walkers (9:35 a.m.).<\/p>\n

8:00 a.m. Registration Opens
\n8:00 a.m. Costume Contest Judging Begins (winners announced just after the Kids’ Super Dash)
\n9:00 a.m. Kids’ Super Dash (not timed, all kiddos will receive a medal)
\n9:30 a.m. All Superhero Runners take off!

Honor Heroes of Hope May 10-11<\/strong><\/p>\n

Join the community as we recognize and honor our Heroes of Hope during the Relay For Life of Clinton County Event May 10-11, 2019 from 4:00 p.m.-10:00 a.m. in the Downtown Depot Area in St. Johns.<\/p>\n

The Survivor and Caregiver Celebration will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The Survivor and Caregiver Dinner will be immediately following at 6:45 p.m.

MAHLE growth could add area jobs<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Clinton County Economic Alliance (CCEA) is pleased to announce that MAHLE GmbH has relocated its York, Pennsylvania facility to St. Johns, MI. The company also plans to bring a new line from the recently acquired Brainbee, currently located in Parma, Italy.<\/p>\n

The project is expected to generate a total private investment of $2.9M and create 24 jobs and is the recipient of a $186,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant.<\/p>\n

Michigan was chosen over competing sites in Tennessee and Mexico. MAHLE is a leading international development partner and supplier to the automotive industry as well as a pioneer and technology driver for the mobility of the future.<\/p>\n

Rich Wolf, general manager MAHLE Service Solutions, said \u201cthe decision to relocate to St. Johns was simple because it is already a well-established, Tier 1 MAHLE facility.\u201d Wolf says \u201cin addition, the move allows MAHLE Service Solutions to have its industry leading brands located under one roof and a centralized location for efficient customer service and support.\u201d \u201cThe move to an award-winning company facility will streamline efficiency for the Service Solutions division and allow us to continue to offer the same high level of quality and reliability that people have come to expect from our service equipment,\u201d Wolf said. \u201cThis new facility reinforces our market offerings that provide outstanding customer value, less downtime and a low total cost of ownership over the lifetime of each product.\u201d<\/p>\n

“The City is very excited to learn of this new development,” noted Eric Hufnagel, mayor of St. Johns. “We are very proud of the success MAHLE is having in St. Johns and we believe this is owed to the talent and commitment of all its employees.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is great news for St. Johns and surrounding mid-Michigan communities, \u201csaid Clinton County Economic Alliance President & CEO Dru L. SJHS Theatre celebrates 50th on May 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tickets are now available for the St. John\u2019s High School Theatre 50th Anniversary celebration Saturday, May 11 at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30p.m. Please enter through the athletic entrance.<\/p>\n

Mint City Singers to present May 3 concert<\/strong><\/p>\n

How can I keep from Singing? will be present at the Wilson Center Auditorium Friday, May 3, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. by the Mint City Singers. The group is led by Ellen Hoard, Director featuring Jeff Richards on Piano, Scott Harding on Percussion and Tess Miller on Flute.<\/p>\n

Special Guests for this event will be The Lansing Children’s Choir, Megan Higle, Director<\/p>\n

Favorite pop tunes for the evening will include Love Will Keep Us Together I Will Always Love You Somewhere Out There Some Enchanted Evening Imagine.<\/p>\n
