Durbin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Durbin_June2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"89\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5026\" \/>June A. Durbin died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the age of 69. She was born September 4, 1949 in LaSalle, IL the daughter of Chester and Betty (Hancock) Pietrowski.  June enjoyed playing softball and volleyball in her younger years and was a member of a bowling league for many years. She worked for several years in the cafeteria at St. Johns High School but her primary focus was providing loving care for her family and their home. On September 30, 1972 she married Bruce Durbin and he survives her.<\/p>\n<p>Also surviving is one daughter, Tonia (Jack) Luna; one son, Jace (Ashley) Durbin; four grandchildren, Havilyn Luna, Owen, Griffin and Kylie Durbin; one brother, Rick (Bonnie) Pietlowski; two sisters, Robin (Jerry) Egli and Kathy (Dave) Baima; her mother-in-law, Jeanette Durbin; one brother-in-law, Roger Durbin and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral Home. June\u2019s family would like to thank the staff at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor for the wonderful care that was provided to her. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer\u2019s Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson\u2019s Research.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Bruce Edward Woodbury<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/woodbury_bruce.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5021\" \/>Bruce Edward Woodbury, age 83 of Elsie, MI, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his home.<\/p>\n<p>A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Bruce was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on July 3, 1935 the son Chancey E. and Nina (Frayer) Woodbury.  He was a graduate St. Johns High School and resided most of his life in Elsie.  Bruce married Blanche Mueller and they were married for 59 years.<\/p>\n<p>Bruce retired from Clinton County Road Commission.  He served his country in the U.S. Army.  Bruce&#8217;s favorite place to be was on his farm land.  He enjoyed being outdoors. Bruce was a member of Elsie United Methodist Church.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife Blanche Woodbury of Elsie, MI; daughter Tammy and Chip Saam of Dexter, MI; daughter Tena and Scott Gilhouse of Elsie, MI; daughter Teri Woodbury and Lori Schafer of Dimondale, MI; son Todd and Stacy Woodbury of Gladwin, MI; sister Jo Wakefield of Adrian, MI; 5 grandchildren: Sam, Jay and Cal Woodbury, and Matthew and Amelia Saam; sister Jo Wakefield of Adrian, MI; sister Marcia and Roger Workman of Lake Odessa, MI.  Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter, Teresa Woodbury.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children&#8217;s Hospital. The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/font><\/a>, Elsie, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Lucille \u201cFaye\u201d Salisbury<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/salisbury_lucille.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5013\" \/>Lucille \u201cFaye\u201d Salisbury, age 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 28, 2019, in Laingsburg, Michigan. She was born April 6, 1948 in Cadillac, Michigan to Eugene and Ruth (Cooper) Welton.  Faye was the second of three children, having two sisters. She attended Bellevue High School and married the love of her life, Ronald Salisbury on August 13, 1966.  Faye was a homemaker for many years and then worked at Perry Drugs in St Johns.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by beloved husband, Ronald Dean Salisbury, her mother, Ruth Welton; son, Thomas (Amy) Salisbury, daughter Deborah (Brian) Szpont, son Raymond Salisbury, daughter Susan (Stacy) Hunt, \u201cspecial\u201d daughter of her heart, Patty Murphy; grandchildren, Chelsea Henning (boyfriend Kyle Splitt), Courtney (Josh) Schmitt, Celene (Mike) Abfall, Joshua Szpont, Zachariah Szpont,  Luke Hunt, Telah Hunt, Austin Salisbury, Mya Salisbury, Tyler Salisbury, Kelly Patterson, Geoff (Tonia) Patterson, and 3 great grandchildren Avril, Hazel, and Kai Patterson; 2 sisters, Judy (Al) Convis and Patricia Green, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Welton and her in-laws Robert and Martha Salisbury.<\/p>\n<p>A celebration of Faye\u2019s life will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a> in St. Johns, Michigan at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will take place on July 5, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lansing City Rescue Mission, the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society \u2013 Michigan Chapter.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>John Joseph Smith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/smith_john.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5030\" \/>John Joseph Smith age 60, of Portland, MI, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019, at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.<\/p>\n<p>A Memorial Service will be held at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10:30 A.M.  Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI.<\/p>\n<p>John was born in Carson City, MI on October 15, 1958, the son of Charles William and Mary Anna (Theis) Smith.  John graduated from Fowler High School with the class of 1976.<\/p>\n<p>John had worked for Ryder Logistics in Lansing. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a dedicated Jeff Gordon Fan. He looked forward to NASCAR parties he hosted with his friends.  John liked the Chicago Bears, Detroit Tigers, and was an avid U of M fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and making goulash. John loved time spent with his family and was the &#8220;Greatest Uncle John&#8221; to his great nephews.<\/p>\n<p>He was a member of the Fowler Conservation Club, a life member of VFW Auxiliary Post #3733 in Fowler, and a member of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) squadron #182 in Hubbardston.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his sisters: Joanna Brown of St. Johns, MI; Agnes Moore of Fowler, MI; Diana and Stephen Cook of Westphalia, MI; and Helen Smith of St. Johns, MI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and 3 great nephews.  John was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers-in-law: Marion Brown and Thomas Moore.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to VFW Auxiliary Post #3733 Fowler, MI or to Sons of the American Legion Squadron #182 Hubbardston, MI.
