Campbell<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Campbell_William.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5171\" \/>William D. Campbell died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the age of 76. He was born December 15, 1942 in Marlette, MI the son of Donald and Norma Jean (Bennett) Campbell.  Bill had a love of agriculture and during his working career he was a crop consultant for several agriculture based companies. He enjoyed his time working with local farmers, not only as a consultant but actually getting in the fields and operating machinery.  Bill also had a fondness for riding motorcycles and would get out for a ride every chance he could. After his retirement he volunteered at Oakview Elementary School helping first grade students with reading.<\/p>\n<p>On November 7, 1964 he married Beverly Crake and she survives him. Also surviving is one daughter, DeLynn (Chad) Wells of St. Johns; one son, Kevin (Cara) Campbell of Vicksburg; three granddaughters, Madalyn and Kylee Wells and Kelsey Campbell; two sisters, Carol (Dave) McAllister of Ocala, FL and Kay Nicol of Denver, CO; one brother, Duane (Trish) Campbell of Midland; one brother in law, Ernest (Emma) Crake; one sister in law, Lila (Marlin) Younge both of Lapeer and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by a brother in law and sister in law, Earl J. and Louise Crake.<\/p>\n<p>Following Bill\u2019s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor\u2019s choice. The family was assisted with these arrangements by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Kay Marie Peters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/peters_kay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5172\" \/>Kay Marie Peters, age 60 of St. Johns, MI, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at her home.<\/p>\n<p>A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Kay was born in Muskegon, MI on August 4, 1958 the daughter of Mitchell Anthony and Lucille Ann (Bayle) Levandowski.  Kay married Kevin Peters on April 26, 1980 in Muskegon.  She resided most of her life in Ithaca and St. Johns.<\/p>\n<p>Kay is survived by her husband Kevin Peters of St. Johns, MI; daughter Angela and Darren Stambaugh of Casper, WY; son Kevin and Tara Peters II of Traverse City, MI; 5 grandchildren: Chase Stambaugh, Laura Peters, Hunter Peters, Tristan Peters and Landon Peters; father-in-law Richard Peters of Elsie, MI; 6 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.  Kay was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law Jean Mary Peters.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children&#8217;s Hospital. Walter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/walter_robert.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5176\" \/>Robert L. Walter, age 74 passed away at McLaren Hospice House on July 16, 2019.  Bob was born on October 17, 1944 in Shepardsville, MI the son of Lawrence L. and Margaret (Lyons) Walter.  He graduated from Ovid High School in 1963 and had worked at Motor Wheel and later at Fisher Body.  Bob was a veteran of the U. S. Army.  On January 15, 1966 he married Shirley A. Hogle in St. Johns.  Bob loved hunting and fishing in his spare time and was a member of the Ovid V.F.W.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Shirley and daughter Karmen Walter of Harbor Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Marci Walter Draper in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>At his request there will be no services. Proctor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/proctor_jerold.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5165\" \/>Jarold B. Proctor, 74 of rural Elsie formerly of Hubbardston, passed away at his home on Monday, July 15, 2019.  He was born on October 27, 1944 in Ionia, MI the son of Harold and Marjorie (Owen) Proctor.  He graduated from Carson City High School and had worked 40+ years at Sealed Power\/Dana Corp. retiring in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>On July 14, 1984 he married Peggy Salters Pattison in St. Johns, MI. Jerry was a big Michigan Football Fan, loved current events and the news, his annual Canada fishing trip with his buddies and family, reading, visiting with company on a daily basis, in depth conversations, history, growing a garden, cutting firewood, cats and watching Ancient Aliens.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are his wife, Peggy, children Jodi (Mike) Arrowood,  grandson Ryan (fianc\u00e9 Brittany) Arrowood, step children, Dana Moore, Brad Pattison, Hugo and Ben, Brandon and Tanya Pattison, step- grandchildren Carter, Raven, Scout and Taya and Lane; sister, Shirleyan Hill and brother Jon and Helen Proctor,  James, brother (deceased) and Donna, Marc, son and Pam both deceased.<\/p>\n<p>As per his request there will be no services. Memorials may be given to the Clinton County Animal Control and arrangements are by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Jack Gene Croad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/croad_jack.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5166\" \/>Jack Gene Croad age 87 of Fulton Twp, MI passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Woodland Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant, MI.<\/p>\n<p>A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.  Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Jack was born in Fulton Township, MI on October 4, 1931, the son of John and Ruth (Porter) Croad.  Jack served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951- 1955. He retired from Federal Mogul in St. Johns as an Industrial Engineer.  Jack loved spending time with his family.  He loved to fish, hunt, golf, bowl, and ride his motorcycle.  Jack was a basketball coach, Boy Scout Leader and 4-H Leader.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his son David and Pam Croad; daughter Cheryl Graham; 6 grandchildren: Mandi Rutkowski, Jeremiah and Kristy Croad, Michael Croad, Amy Rutkowski, Sarah and Jeff Cutler and Amber Rutkowski; 4 step-grandchildren: Lewis Graham, Michael Graham, Samuel and Whitney Graham and Andrew and Jamie Graham; 8 great-grandchildren: Trey, Taite, David, Leah, Aliyas, Olivia, Kavon and Kara; 7 step-great-grandchildren: Gaven, Natalie, Dana, Liam, Noah, Lexi and Mackenzie.  Jack is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Leon, Dale, Gerald, Rolland and Eugene, and his sisters: Velma, Doris, Charlene, Dorothy, April, May and Ruth.<\/p>\n<p>The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/font><\/a> &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Martha S. Gower<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Gower_Martha.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5160\" \/>Martha S. Gower died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the age of 71. She was born March 14, 1948 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Keith and Maxine (Spaulding) Wright.  Martha attended St Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Perrinton and St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Ithaca. She enjoyed quilting and knitting, was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and loved spending time with her grandchildren. On February 4, 1967 she married James Gower and he survives her.<\/p>\n<p>Also surviving are her children and their families, Amber (Jeff) Weburg of Ithaca and grandchildren, Josh (Amanda) Carullo, Kori Carullo and twins, Grant and Grace Weburg; Beth (Bryan) Harkrader of Ft. Benning, GA and granddaughter, Maggie Sue; Jay (Sara) Gower of Waterford, MI and grandchildren, Mia, Charlie and Griffin; two sisters, Louise Barnes and Jean Zyzelewski; two brothers, Michael Wright and Pete Meyer.<\/p>\n<p>Following Martha\u2019s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Laurels of Carson City. The family was assisted with these arrangements by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Bonnie Marie Showers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Showers_Bonnie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5155\" \/>Bonnie Marie Showers went to be her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the age of 96. She was born January 14, 1923 in Mishawaka, Indiana, the daughter of Roy and Ruth (LaRue) Stanger. She was a homemaker and faithful member if First Baptist Church in St. Johns where she taught Sunday School for 25 years and was involved in their missionary group. She enjoyed reading, flower arranging, traveling and spending time with family and friends. For many years she opened her home and heart to visiting missionaries and foreigners.   On September 20, 1945 Bonnie married Nelson R. Showers, who preceded her in death in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are two sons, Robert (Marie) Showers and Steven (Krisan) Showers, both of DeWitt; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her parents, eight brothers and one sister.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a> , St. Johns with Pastor Mike Briggs officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour before the 2:00 PM service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hazel I.
