Fr. Michael Williams officiating.  Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 and 6-8   P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<p>Kenneth was born in Victor Township, MI on June 12, 1921, the son of Clyde C. and Zelma Ann Sturgis. He resided most of his life in Clinton County. Kenneth married Vernetta Elizabeth Mueller on April 10, 1940, in St. Johns, MI.  She passed away on August 11, 2010 after celebrating 70 years of marriage together.<\/p>\n<p>Kenneth was a former member of St. Johns Police Department Auxiliary for over 20 years and he was an avid fisherman. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by three sons: William C. and Joan Price of Maynardville, TN; Richard E. Price (special friend Anne) of St. Johns, MI; James A. Price of St. Johns, MI; three daughters: Linda M. and Gene Gruzd of Owosso, MI; Susan J. and Jerry Brown of Laingsburg, MI; Barbara L. and Greg Ehlman of Alma, MI; daughter in law Sandy Price of Aberdeen, MD; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Gerald &#8220;Andy&#8221; Price of St. Johns, MI; and Daniel and June Price of St. Johns, MI.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vernetta, daughter Helen Ann Price, son Kenneth J. Price, brothers: Stanley Price and Robert Price and sister Geraldine Muranaka.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mass. Smith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Smith_Rachelle.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6125\" \/>Rachelle (Shelly) A. Smith, age 56, of St. Johns was called home by the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with health issues.  Rachelle was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Rachelle was born on December 4, 1962, in Lansing, Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>Left to cherish her memory is her husband Daniel; parents  Tom and Sandy Joseph; brother Mark (Susan) Joseph; sister Karen (Kwame) Johnson; parents-in-law John and Loreen Smith; brother-in-law Mitch (Karen) Smith; sister-in-law Cheryl (Rick) Longstreet; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Rachelle attended Waverly High School. The Survivors Motorcycle Club of Lansing was an important part of her and Dan\u2019s life. We will miss the great way Rachelle could tell a story. We will miss her laugh and her genuine love for those that were in her circle of family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>A memorial service will be held for Rachelle on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, St. Johns Branch, 300 East Townsend Road, St. Johns.  The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the Noon service. A friend of Rachelle\u2019s, Pastor Kitty Downing, will officiate the Noon service.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made in memory of Rachelle to the American Kidney Fund. The family was assisted with these arrangements by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a>, St. Johns.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Janice B. Parker<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/parker_janice.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6120\" \/>Janice B. Parker, age 83 passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with Parkinson\u2019s disease, on Saturday, October 12, 2019.  Janice was born on May 24, 1936 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Roman and Delores (Droste) Hufnagel.  She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in 1954. On June 26, 1954 she married Sheldon B. Parker in St. Johns.<\/p>\n<p>She had worked as a teacher\u2019s aide in the public schools and later became the librarian at Perrin Palmer School.  Janice\u2019s true legacy was the love she imparted on her family and friends. She loved playing bridge, canning and freezing garden goods and raising her family.  She was a member of St. Joseph Alter Society.<\/p>\n<p>Janice is survived by her husband, Sheldon and children, Dennis (Susan) Parker of St. Johns, Richard (Cheryl) Parker of Northport, Carol (Michael) Barrett of St. Johns, Leon (Ann) Parker of St. Johns, Sheldon (Michelle) Parker of DeWitt, Michael (Tammy) Parker of Eaton Rapids and Barbara Furry of White Lake; 29 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren;  brothers and sisters, Elon Hufnagel, Carl (Joan) Hufnagel, Jerry (Diane Duflo) Hufnagel, Larry (Gale) Hufnagel, Frank Hufnagel and Karen Schafer.  She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Alexandra Parker, brother John Hufnagel and sister Ann Marie Pahl.<\/p>\n<p>The family will receive friends and relatives at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0000CC\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/font><\/a> on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. with a Rosary being prayed at 7:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. Sepkoski<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Sepkoski_Bonnie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6116\" \/>Bonnie L. Sepkoski died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the age of 86. She was born January 30, 1933 in Oakland County, MI to Forrest and Evelyn (Marks) Teelander.  Bonnie enjoyed painting, flower gardening and being outside working in her immaculately manicured lawn. She worked for many years as a pharmacy tech at the former Lansing General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are four sons, Robert (Cheryle) Mitchell, Jerry (Carole) Mitchell, Tim (Linda) Mitchell and Rick Mitchell; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Helen) Teelander and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sepkoski and siblings, Beverly (Oliver) Titof and Carl (Sharon) Teelander.<\/p>\n<p>Following Bonnie\u2019s wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be no services or visitation. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan P.O. Box 30480 Lansing, MI 48909-9986.
