Lowe UMC Euchre Tournaments scheduled<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Maple Rapids and Lowe United Methodist Church Community Outreach Group will be hosting three upcoming Euchre Tournaments at Lowe UMC located at 5485 W Lowe Rd. St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n

The dates are January 17, February 21, and March 20.<\/p>\n

All tournaments run from 7-10 p.m. All are welcome to join them for a great night of cards, fellowship and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for highest points, lowest points and most lone hands.<\/p>\n

Dewitt YMCA brings fitness to the Briggs<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dewitt YMCA is coming to town. Join Yeno, a certified personal trainer and fitness coach, on Wednesday afternoons for a new year of health and fun.<\/p>\n

Patrons will have the opportunity to choose from three different classes. A Balance and Stability class will be offered from 1-2 p.m. A Zumba class will be offered from 2:15-3:15 p.m. and a Cardio Drumming class will be offered from 3:30-4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The cost of the classes will be $5 per session for adults and $3 for youth. Participants do have the opportunity to pay for the whole month. Registration is required for these programs.<\/p>\n

Please contact the library or the Dewitt YMCA for more details. Classes began on Wednesday, January 15.<\/p>\n

Dinner Theatre tickets on sale<\/strong><\/p>\n

The St. Johns High School Theatre Department will present Anna and August and The Book of Everything on Saturday, February 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Dinner Theatre Tickets are on sale. Buy yours by January 22 for only $15 a person. sjdrama.ludus.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Ticket prices go up to $18 a person on January 23. Ticket price includes 2 shows and dinner.<\/p>\n

Area student named to Dean’s list<\/strong><\/p>\n

NOTRE DAME, Indiana. – Hannah O’Farrell of DeWitt has been named to the Saint Mary’s College Dean’s List for the 2019 fall semester.<\/p>\n

To earn this academic honor at Saint Mary’s, a student must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have a minimum of 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes, and no grades lower than a C.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
