Visitation will be held at the Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  A private burial will take place at Lowe Cemetery, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<p>Lois was born in St. Johns, MI on January 11, 1934, the daughter of Clyde and Rilla (Henderson) Anderson.  She married Howard J. &#8220;Jim&#8221; Glass on October 27, 1961 in Wayne, MI.  Jim passed away on November 24, 2012. Lois resided all of her life St. Johns. Lois worked as a Layout Artist for the St. Johns Reminder.  She was a talented artist in many ways, even her yard being a canvas showing her creativity.  Lois enjoyed gardening and spending time with the neighbor dog, Peppy.  She was an active member of Resurrection Life Church in St. Louis, MI.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her daughter Annette and Jeff Chaney; son Randy and Kate Glass; her grandchildren: Mary and Cody Parent; Beth Anne and Nathan Wood; Audrey, Kelly and Lilly  Glass; twin brother Louis and Norita Anderson; brother Earl and Marlene Anderson; sister Helen and Dick Todd; many nieces and nephews.  Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Hilda Bancroft, Wanda Ryan, and Carol Wallace, also her brothers Adelbert Anderson and Sam Anderson.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to Resurrection Life Church or Operation Smile at operationsmile.org. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ellen Zienert officiating.  Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Esther Jane was born in Hartford City, IN on February 19, 1928 the daughter of Harold J. and Kathleen Doris (Burdge) Roberts.  Esther Jane married Richard M. Rutter, and they were happily married for 72 years.  Richard passed away on April 12, 2008. Esther Jane worked at Harr&#8217;s Jewelry.  She loved going to Horsehead Lake.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church St. Johns, MI., and resided most of her life in St. Johns.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her son Robert and Lori Rutter of Lansing, MI; son Bruce and Donna Rutter of St. Johns, MI; 6 grandchildren: Tammy, Ann, Sarah, Scott, Christina and Joshua; 2 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 6 step-great-grandchildren.  Esther Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her step-great-grandson.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, St. Johns. The family is being served by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Smith Family Funeral Homes<\/a> &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Wesley Howard Smith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/smith_wesley.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-700\" \/>Wesley Howard Smith, age 81, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at his home.<\/p>\n<p>A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes &#8211; Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Andy Crowell officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 1:30 P.M. till time of services at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Wes was born in Howell, MI on July 9, 1936, the son of Harry and Carrie (Sprague) Smith. He graduated with the class of 1955 from Rodney B. Wilson High School, St. Johns, MI.  On November 17, 1957 Wes married Bonnie Cressman in St. Johns, MI. They have been married more than 60 years. Wes worked Bee Chevrolet as a salesman for 28 years. Before that he owned and operated Gulf and Pro Gas Station in St. Johns for many years. Wes also enjoyed gardening, tinkering, fishing, and listening to country music.  Spending time with his grandchildren and his family was very important to him.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife Bonnie Smith of St. Johns, MI; daughter Carrie Smith-Love of St. Johns, MI; son Kevan and Bonnie Smith; 2 grandchildren: Logan Love of St. Johns, MI; and Ryan and Kelcy Todd &#8211; Love of Lansing, MI; 4 sisters: Helen, Violet, Beatrice, and Florence, brother Russell, half-brother Phillip, and half-sister Phyllis.  He was predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters: Ruth, Wave, and Carol, 3 brothers: Gordon, Charles, and Gerry, and stepsister Harriett.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor&#8217;s choice. Woodruff<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Woodruff_Eugene.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-694\" \/>Eugene M. Woodruff, 77 of Owosso, MI formerly of Ovid passed away suddenly at his home in Owosso while doing what he loved, hitting golf balls.  Eugene was born on August 5, 1940 in Ovid, MI the son of Myron and Frances (Dennis) Woodruff.  He graduated from Ovid High School in 1958 and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.  On May 8, 1965 he married Ruth Harrington and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2012.  Gene worked at Mclaren Hospital in Flint until he retired and he had a printing business for several years. He was a former member of Ovid Fire Dept, Ovid Ambulance Service and a member of First Church of God, loved golfing, watching trains,  and watching Jeopardy.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors are his children, Stacy Woodruff of Ovid, Karen (Kevin DeMarias) Crambell of St. Johns, Kathy  (Scott) Sparks of Owosso and Rachel (Randall) Perrien of Ovid, Grandchildren, Corey, Chelsea, Brooke, Paige, Brendan, Justin, Colton and Mason. Brothers, David Woodruff of Grand Rapids and Ronald (Sarah) Woodruff of St. Johns and sister in law Patricia Harrington. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Wayne.<\/p>\n<p>The family will receive friends and relatives at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a>, St. Johns on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Vail<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stjindy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Vail_Ted.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"91\" height=\"129\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-689\" \/>Theodore A. Vail died Friday, April 20, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born November 4, 1927 in St. Johns, MI the son of Ward and Henrietta (Palmer) Vail. Ted was a former member of First Congregational Church in St. Johns and was deeply involved with the Mt. Rest Cemetery Mausoleum Restoration.  Ted was a third generation mint farmer, first here in Mid-Michigan and also in Wisconsin. He was a member of the Mint Growers Association and the Muck Farmers Association.  Ted married Mary Jane Halfmann in September of 1950, and she preceded him in death in 2003. On November 1, 2007 he married Marceda (Harper), and she survives him.<\/p>\n<p>Also surviving are his children, Thomas (Vickie) Vail of Hancock, MN and Susan (Edward) Mayer of Fall Creek, WI; grandchildren, Danielle and Dustin Heisler, Sarah Christensen, Jessica Lingscheit and Dylan Vail; a sister, Pauline Warren; step-children, Linda (Lloyd) Shobe, Tom (Caroll) Harper, Dave (Diane) Harper and Dean Harper. He was also predeceased by sisters and brothers-in- law, Jean (Bob) Rand, Virginia (Bob) Teich and Mel Warren and stepson, Steve Harper.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 23, 2018 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keckcolemanfh.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Keck-Coleman Funeral Home<\/a>, St. Johns with Pastor Betty Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 11:00 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer\u2019s Association or Mt.
