Robert Stump has been identified as the DeWitt police officer injured in a horrific head-on crash this past Wednesday, January 15.<\/p>\n
According to his sister, Officer Robert Stump, a DeWitt Township Police Officer, was involved in a horrific head on collision while on duty. The suspect who was fleeing police arrest swerved into her brother\u2019s parked cruiser, apparently attempting suicide. She was traveling
\nat the rate of approx 70 miles per hour.<\/p>\n
Eyewitnesses said the impact sent Officer Stump and his vehicle flying 6-8 feet through the air. He was pulled from the vehicle because it was on fire. He suffers serious, non-life threatening injuries that require surgery. These surgeries come with extensive and intense therapy and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

His accomplishments are numerous, having served the hospital for 41 years.<\/p>\n Gunther also has been involved in many other community activities including marching in the Drill Team at the Mint Festival parades, the many years in Clinton Capers and standing out as the birthday wish club because of his singing voice.
